Good Morning to All from the Georgia Coast!

We are new to this web site...but not new to Disney (well, at least me...I was raised next door to Disneyland and have been to WDW...ummm...more than once). We are also newlyweds...not quite a year. I introduced my DDW to Disney World by taking her there for our honeymoon (which included a DCL cruise). It was my second cruise on DCL, her first (I was on the 4th one they had). Nice introduction, huh?

Will it is still a ways out, I would like to return to WDW for our 5th Anniversary in September 2013. I don't think it is ever too early to start planning. I have some idea of what we want to do (mainly things we ran out of time to do the first time around), but am looking for things that will make this trip as romantic as our honeymoon. muchlove

We will be looking to this board for advice and tips. And we also hope to contribute some of our own.

Look Out World, we are on our way!

Mike and Donna

Any ideas on where you'd like to stay in 2013?

Thank you for the quick welcomes! Wow!!!

I have stayed at Port Orleans and Donna and I stayed at AKL for our honeymoon. Both were terrific! Right now, we are torn...do we want to stay at Port Orleans/French quarter or...camp for a week? confused

Camping is cheaper...but sleeping bags for a week??? I dunno!!!

welcome!!!

I know the feeling of having the next trip a long ways out. Our next trip looks like it will be our honeymoon in 2011.

as far as camping vs. hotel . . I have to go with a hotel. I LOVE camping, but I just don't think that a sleeping bag would be comfortable for me after a few days of disney. I like to prop my feet up and relax when not in the parks.

stars Welcome! Can't wait to hear more about your trip!

I'm gonna vote for POFQ, by the way! Sleeping bags are fun, but... laugh

While doing my search on where to stay, I tried to do a few days of camping and a couple days in PO. The price went out of sight...the camping rate actually went up and staying a PO for just one night was over $600!!!

Hey guys, welcome to the board! Do you wear the pirate gear all the time? laugh

Most people who've checked typically seem to find that camping isn't enough cheaper to justify what you give up. I think Fort Wilderness is best for those where camping is a plus, not a minus, or where every dollar counts. Joe, our resident expert on ultra-cheap Disney used to stay in Fort Wilderness, but I think he also enjoyed the camping element of it.

You could also consider a value resort as an in-between of Port Orleans. Pop Century can be a blast.

Anyway, welcome to the boards!

mickey Welcome!

$600?!? I didn't think PO even went that high! Something tells me there's a glitch in the system. Definitely try that search again laugh
