oHIo!

HI! My name is Lou and I am a Disney addict. (Everbody responds "Hi Lou!") My oldest son has said that I need an intervention. It appears that I have found my support group at "WDW For Grownups."

Since someone else already has the user name of Disney Addict, my chosen user name will be the state where I live, (round on the ends and HI in the middle) oHIo!! Before all the Michiganders respond, , "Oh no, another Buckeye, a useless little nut," I admit that I was born and raised in Michigan. There is a warm spot in my heart and I always have a map of MI when I look at my left hand, fingers together. My hometown is the farthest point south of the thumb area, right before oHIo!

Perhaps "Lurker" should have been my user name because that is what I have been doing for the past several months. But getting acquainted with all of you through your posts, user names and maps supplied by NHShorty has been very liberating. It is wonderful to know that there are so many other people like me. As an annual passholder, DVC member and card carrying member of Tables In Wonderland, I freely admit that I am an addict. There is no cure, only support!

It appears that "WDW For Grownups" has an amazing group of people who are just like family. They support, sympathize and congratulate in a postive and encouraging manner.

I am looking forward to hearing "Welcome Home!"

Thanks Kristen. Yes, I need to get all my plans posted like every one else does. Working on learning the ropes.

My husband, mother-in-law and sister-in-law are checking in at Kidani on Sunday, Oct 19 for two nights before we leave to board the Disney Magic for the Turner Classic Movie cruise. Grandma's 90th birthday present. Her first passport and first cruise! Dinner reservations at Sana for Sunday evening....wonderful restaurant! DH and I have tickets for MNSSHP that evening. Sis & Grandma will be too tired, but I am always energized as soon as I arrive on property. laugh

Robyn aren't you going to be at Kidani at the same time?!

Also have reservations for January, two nights at Kidani and at 3 nights at BLT, just DH and me. May BLT reservations as well for my birthday and 24 hours of MK!! Not sure who is going on that one besides hubby and me, but have reserved a 1BR.

Hi Lou! We like to consider ourselves enablers of each other for our obsession. Our intervention would involve a trip to WDW.....so you have indeed found the right group!

Anybody who has buckeye balls as their avatar is a winner in my books! This from someone born and raised in PA. Ha!

Oh my goodness Alice, that's like asking me to name my favorite child! All of the resorts are amazing for different reasons. The value resorts have such high energy, are so much fun and so colorful. The moderate resorts are a bit more sedate and definitely more roomy. Love the queen size beds! Then there are the deluxe resorts............oh my! Beautiful!! Of course the DVC resorts are in a class by themselves. My two home resorts are Bay Lake and recently added Beach Club. Definitely looking forward to staying there for the Food & Wine next year. Will be able to make reservations next month for 2015. Yay!

Love all the Parks, but of course Magic Kingdom has a special place in my heart.

So many excellent restaurants to choose from! My favorite is usually the one where we have an ADR. BOG for dinner is incredible. Our first dinner we sat right by the window and watched it snow the entire time. (Already have an ADR for January!) Taking the in-laws to Sana on Sunday 10/19. Their bread service and soups are delish!

Of course Minnie & Mickey are very special but if I were to get a tattoo it would have to be naughty Tink. Wink

My favorite recent movie........drum roll please......no....... not "Frozen." It is "Saving Mr Banks!" Loved the story and Tom Hanks did a great job. Mary Poppins was one of my favorites as a child.

Looking forward to discovering everybody's favorites. muchlove
