Paul Bunyan Lumberjack Show Ends

Posted on their FB page yesterday:

Our last day doing the Canadian Lumberjacks at the Walt Disney World Epcot Canadian Mills Stage will be tomorrow 11/24/2015! It was a FANTASTIC 14 months. Thank you very much Walt Disney World Epcot! WHAT A SHOW, EH!
I want to make a very special shout out, and THANKS to all of the Lumberjacks and staff that made the show operate from our side of the fence.

Doesn't surprise me. The lumberjack show was terrible. They can hang out with Captain EO as far as I'm concerned.

Now, Disney should put a Rush tribute band on that stage. As a Canadian, I would like to see that.

They've been there for 14 months!? Time flies! I saw it once and that was good enough for me. I like KenJ's idea of a Rush tribute band awesome

Good God, the brass at Disney are completely clueless sometimes.

They've been there 14 months? How is that possible? We were there at the beginning of September last year and they were not there yet. Maybe right after us?

Anyway, kind of random how sudden that is. And I'm sort of bummed I didn't even see it once. But hopefully they'll replace it with something better soon.

First Lumberjack show was on Oct 3, 2014. They are replaced by The Canadian Holiday Voyageurs(made up of former members of Off Kilter and Mulch) thru the end of the holiday season. With all of the cost cutting going on, I would not be surprised if nothing is on The Mill Stage next year.

I didn't mind the show too much. Nothing I'd want to see over and over but it was all right!

Now if we're going for a Canadian band then I'd vote for a Tragically Hip theme.

Actually, I think a general Canadian music tribute band would be awesome...

The Hip
Barenaked Ladies
Tom Cochrane
Rush
Blue Rodeo
Neil Young
Guess Who
Steppenwolf
BTO
Triumph
Loverboy

And so on...

I would love to see a tribute band with a complete mix that they can change up.

Walked by the stage a little earlier. It was decorated for Christmas but the benches were gone and a fence up around it (close to the stage)

Seeing the videos, I wasn't all that impressed. So I'm glad to see them go. Speaking of tribute bands or musicians, what about Bryan Adams? Other than that, I'm partial to Simple Plan but I think they'll only resonate more with millennials so maybe not....

In an effort to pinch a few more pennies, Captain EO will be showing on a screen on the Old Mill Stage five times a day with a special introduction by Anne Murray.
