CBR is so beautiful! Thanks for the photos and the memories Smile

That coconut postcard looks like fun, too, bali. How much to buy/send?

I'm delighted to see someone else post pictures. Thank you.
We enjoy going to Caribbean Beach Resort to grab lunch. It has such a nice atmosphere. The walkways, however, really raise h**l with Jan's power chair and is very hard on her also. We like it there enough that she puts up with it.
Understand that we are small town folks. Public transportation is a novelty to us. For those that it is a way of life probably don't enjoy the bus rides as we do.
Joe
How about some more picture from others?

About $20 to buy the coconut and send it from CBR Smile

@Subvets: I can imagine the walkways are hard on the chair!

I keep hoping that sometime soon I'll have new pics to add, but I should probably dig up some old ones in the meantime.

I'm looking foward to them cdub. Hope more do the same.
In the meantime.....Here's a picture of Downtown Disney taken from an outside table at Earl of Sandwich just to remind everyone that not all days in Florida are bright sunshine.

Does the chair do okay in the rain?

Funny you should ask that question dsoup. I just happen to have a picture along that line.
Because water and electricity don't mix very well we try to avoid the rain, However, if we keep the controls covered the chair can take a little rain without causing any problems. Jan, on the other hand will melt if not covered.

My favorite sandwich from Earl of Sandwich was the Beef'n'Blue but they stopped offering that about 2 years ago. Now I get the Original roast beef. Jan always got the Best BLT but they don't make that any more. She will pick something else when we go back in December.

I don't think I've ever seen Earl of Sandwich so empty, Joe. Were you there right at opening?!?

I don't remember when that picture was taken but a few years ago. We have eaten there at least 20 times and have been there during slow times more than once.
Here's another place we like to have lunch at. Downtown Disney at the Paradiso 37.

Hey, Joe -- what do you like/dislike about Paradiso? I haven't been there yet and would love your suggestions. Seems like a really nice outdoor deck.

Well Annie,
The thing I like the best is the outdoor deck. Great atmosphere. Also the menu is OK. I had the Mexican Quesadillas and they were delicious.
Below is a link to their menu.

As a side note: In Ft. Wilderness they removed almost all the underbrush for some reason and at the Tree Houses they took great care not to disturb any of the underbrush. Go figure.
Joe

From wha I have heard, they couldn't touch the underbrush at the tree house area due to the wet lands. thats also why they had to change the footprint of the Tree Houses. That whole area is under a wet lands protection policy.

Interesting note on the Treehouses! I had no idea.

Also, thanks for the info on Paradiso 37, Joe! I just saw a review by disneyfoodblog that looks good, too: http://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2009/11/03/paradiso-37-review/

Is Paradiso reasonably priced? I kind of assumed it was expensive.

There not too bad. It is, after all, Disney!
Check back on my post with the link to the menu. Prices are there.

Yum. That place looks fantastic. I'm a big fan of "tapas" style restaurants, and that looks like you could get by with a few appetizer orders.

Time to start the countdown again. 29 Days to a week in Disney. This time the All Star Music Resort. Pop Century was full for Fl. resident rates. We will be on a tight budget this time, it being so close to Christmas. But we won't starve. Just no $25. plus meals this trip. At our age we are carrying some extra pounds on us anyway.

Oh my goodness -- You guys are on the road to another trip already! Can't wait to see the pics from this one. Any plans for the trip? Spots you're sure to visit that you haven't seen in the last few trips?

Have you stayed at All Stars before? I think I prefer Pop Century, was curious about your opinion.

We have stayed at The All Star Resorts a number times but that was before Pop Century opened or was full. Pop Century is our favorite resort not just for the price but because we are just simple country folk and the feeling there just fits us well. We love to visit the other resorts because they are awesome But the opulence is just not our thing. To each his own.

Here's some videos of jan getting around at Port Orleans Riverside, one of our favorite spots to visit.

I'd get a bit nervous taking my chair down those ramps. Has she ever had any trouble with them?

Never had any trouble with the ramps but the boat in the picture (Ft. Wilderness boat, green) does not have a ramp. There were times in the past when the boat crew would have to ask all the people to move to one side of the boat or the other to get the deck even with the dock for Jan to get off or on. Just another fun experience at WDW.
The next picture is where we will be in 26 days.

What a great photo of the boat with the grand floridian in the background.

I see the blizzard beach sign in the All Stars photo. I've still never been there!
