Pre trip reports for September

Ok here we go this is my first time writing a pre trip report so I hope it goes well. crossfingers
First a little background. I have 2 trips booked for September. You see the DH (Dave age 45 but acts like a 5 year old when he sees Tigger) and I (Jen age 43 and always mature wink ) always go the first or second week in September for a little under a week. However this year I discovered that Rick Springfield was playing food and wine. The DH said no way were we moving the trip for "that guy". So I called my best friend (Krista) and she jumped at the chance to go. Krista and I have not gone to Disney together for about 16 years. Sad but true. So I am so excited to show her how much Disney has changed. She is a Las Vegas girl (I don't see the appeal). So trip one is all about relaxing and eating lots of food. Trip two is we will sleep when we get home!

So first trip: Arrive at WL on Sept. 5th and head to DTD to eat at HOB (tradition) than we are going to try Disney Quest for the first time. Back to WL for a drink at Territory Lounge.

Sept. 6th Breakfast at The Wave than off to MK for rope drop. Lunch is at Liberty Tree Tavern (first visit).
Fast passes for Buzz, Peter Pan, and 7 dwarfs. Relax at resort. Dinner is at Narcoossee's (first visit).

Sept. 7th Breakfast at the Wave (we love this place) than off to HS. Lunch at Mama Melrose (first visit). Fast passes for Muppets, toy story, and lights action motor show. Relax at WL than off to California Grill for dinner (first visit).

Sept. 8th No breakfast as we need to get to AK early. Lunch at Rainforest Cafe (DH loves this place). Fast passes for Kali, Tough to be a bug, and the Safari. Relax at WL than off to Yachtsman for dinner (our favorite).

Sept. 9th Breakfast at The Wave than off to Epcot for the whole day. Lunch is at Chefs de France (favorite). Fast passes for Test track, Nemo, Maelstorm. Dinner is at La Hacienda De San Angel (first visit).

Sept. 10th head home to Wisconsin sad

13 days later I am back on a plane for trip number two!!! Short trip but it will be my first food and wine.
Sept. 23rd arrive with Krista at Pop Century. First time staying here. Than we are off to DTD for dinner at Paradiso 37.

Sept. 24th MK for rope drop and introducing Krista to the amazing cinnamon rolls at Gastons. Lunch will be counter service not sure where yet. We have fast passes for Buzz, Splash Mountain, and 7 dwarfs. Off to Epcot for the evening for Rick and food and wine. We plan to eat and drink a lot. My goal is to see all 3 concerts both days. Yes I am a little crazy about Rick Springfield! laugh

Sept. 25th I promised Krista I would let her sleep in a little (I lied). Off to HS in the morning. Lunch at Sci Fi per Krista's request. She has never eaten there and I have. Fast passes for Toy story, tower of terror, Muppets. I am tempted to try TOT this trip. Krista said she would go alone but I may try to be brave. Epcot for the evening and more food, drink, and Rick.

Sept. 26th Back home to Wisconsin. No more Disney till next year. sad

Sept.27th Start planning next years trip to Disney. Talked DH into trying new resort- Animal Kingdom clapping

Sounds like fun. You'll love Cali Grill. Save your appetite for F&W.

Two trips in one month?! You lucky lady! We're having our first Cali Grill experience 4 days before you and can't wait! I agree with Colonel...when we were at F&WF in 2012 all of our meals for both Epcot and DHS were at the booths. When we were at DHS we'd just make the walk or hop on a boat over to Epcot for lunch and dinner. Sounds like two awesome trips!

Sounds like so much fun! I'm not sure if you saw that they extended the "It's tough to be a bug" refurbishment. It's now extended until Sept. 27, reopening Sept. 28. We were just there this past weekend and we were bummed we missed it. sad

Yep got the email from Disney that my fast pass has been switched to Lion King instead. No big deal we love both and there is always next year. I still can't believe that I get to have 2 Disney trips this year! I am still pinching myself. muchlove

Wow, 2 trips in the same month - that is great! Enjoy it and sorry to hear about Rick Springfield canceling his concerts. Hope they replace him with someone else you enjoy.
