Resort Bathroom Stuff...

With all this talk of extra stuff you get if you tip your mouse maid extra $$$$.... Can anyone remind me again, apart from soap, do you still get shampoo and conditioner, or is it combined in a small bottle..?..I'am sure you used to get separate shampoo and conditioner...

I think they are still separate. I use them on my glorious beard.

At deluxe hotels you get shampoo and conditioner plus the best hand lotion ever. I left a note for mousekeeping about getting a few extra lotion bottles and she left us about 10 bottles! We tip well for this reason. I still am using my bottles from the last trip in September.

The H2O stuff is not bad. Not Bellagio quality, but pretty good.

In the fall, the shampoo and conditioner bottles were still separate, plus lotion. Also, the soap came in a blue wrapper or an orange wrapper. It became a game with me and DH because I would yell, don't use the blue one use the orange one! I have more orange ones! Smile

Separate bottles at the pricier resorts. At Pop Century (and presumably the other values as well), it was one bottle of combined shampoo/conditioner. So no problem for you, Your Majesty, since you're staying at a deluxe resort this fall.

Hubby used the provided shampoo/conditioner at Pop and thought it was fine. I brought my own. But I have a lot more hair than he has.

Love the H20 products in the hotels! Still working through all the extras the parents brought me back last trip! The lotion is soooo lovely! Hoping the moderate resorts have seperate bottles!

H2O comes in a variety of scents. The first couple of trips was the one from their cruise ships so it smelled as though it was wind on the see...mmmmmm. The last trip was grapefruit...meh....kids used it because they didn't have their own with.

I have yet to find hotel products that I enjoy using. Did not like the stuff they used in DL (stayed at the Disneyland Hotel). Do they use the same stuff in WDW?

That depends on when you stayed at the Disneyland Hotel that you didn't like it. I believe that they have recently switched over to the H2O+ products as well. However I'm not sure which fragrance they have.

I personally love the H2O stuff - so much that I keep lingering over it in the resort gift shops. I want some sea salt lotion!

The aroma that smells of the fresh sea is truly magical and when in Chicago I will go to their store or I have gone on line during their sales (they are not a part of Disney). The grapefruit scent the last time we were there...meh.

I should mention that my sons loved the grapefruit scent so it is only my personal opinion and not of the family. I discovered this when we returned and my son had a pile of soaps in the package. I asked how he got the and he said that each morning he took the partial one out of the shower and the by sink and "put them away" so they kept putting new ones out, which he promptly put in his stash.....sneaky but he still uses them on trips and such. He had just graduated from college so I suppose there was a bit of college-make-it-work mentality in there..

This is NOT promoting theft or deception..... waiting

At the value resorts, the shampoo and conditioner are combined into one bottle. I believe that the moderate and deluxe/villa resorts have the separate shampoo and conditioner bottles. Mousekeeping has a large stockpile of the shampoo, conditioner and soaps. They don't care if you take them home.

Yes, but I didn't know he was stashing it! LOL To a college kid, he thinks he's being smart....it's a college guy thing. I personally would just ask or buy it in their store. He so smart in so many ways, but this is what I call silly.

The staff heard my 5 year old niece going on about the grapefruit smell and how she loved it, and they covered both bathrooms with the bottles, I still have some that we are using. Such a lovely lady to do that for her muchlove

That is very sweet of them, but then it's Mouskeeping and I find them to be very generous.

Guys:

Take a look at the very complete and whinsical Disney toiletry set you get daily at Tokyo Disney Resort and Hong Kong Disneyland hotels:

http://allears.net/hkdl/images/hong-kong-hotel-toiletries.jpg

One can forget the toothbrush, the toothpaste, the comb etc and Disney will have you covered! Plus, robes and bedroom sleepers!
