Save Off Kilter

Below are addresses for to use for expressing your concerns, complaints or compliments for that matter. (This was lifted from another website.)

As people make their complaints, perhaps they can copy the text to this thread to make easier for those with writers block.

Disney has responded in the past to all of my letters, so they do read them. They may ignore what they say, but they do read them. So if you have a few minutes and a stamp or two, get it off your chest, you'll feel better.

I might as well add the phone number for guest relations: (407) 939-2273.

The more calls, the better.

Just an update on this topic..There is a huge campaign going on..I keep getting updates from various other sites..I will post anything that may be of huge interest if Disney consider a change of heart, but I believe the membership is well over 2000 with hundreds of phone calls and E- Mails to WDW on a daily basis.. eek

Save the Adventurers Club went on for years to no avail. But there is always hope.

DS2 LOVES them, so we try to buy the current CDs when there. I sent my email (posted this on another thread) but just received a stock response telling me how wonderful the NEW performers will be. I simply replied, "You're not answering MY email. This is a stock reply. Not cool."

I have four boxes of magic bands that were shipped to me for my upcoming trip. If Disney is looking to save money, I have a few better suggestions than refreshing Off Kilter.

I agree also. For a company that espouses teamwork and loyalty, they certainly don't offer much to their employees.

And another thing, if Fife and Drums are not replaced with something patriotic, I'll really be p.o.'d.

Just checked at Epcot and they do have a new CD called "Kick It". It's selling for $20.

Well as the sound of bagpipes floats off gently to the skies..Off Kilter have left the building, or I should say Epcot..I've been watching and reading other sites where some folk are going to the extremes of cancelling their trips,or planning on booing the new entertainment.. eek Now as much as I enjoyed the lads, and have filmed them on several of my vacation dvds, after 17 years playing at the same venue, I would have thought they would be looking forward to a fresh new venture..I had two pals who played a nightclub every Saturday night for 5 years, then out of the blue, were told that their next gig would be their last..On the last night a gentleman offered them a summer season in his club in sunny Spain..I got a phone call from Danny the sax player who told me it was the best thing that happened to them..Anyway, back to Off Kilter..I wish them all the luck and Iam sure they will have no problems finding work..

Booing the new entertainment? Some people need to grow up waiting
I never did see any of their performances. Now that I hear how good and popular they were, I kinda wish we would have checked them out Puzzled

Booing the new entertainment is just rude - that poor new act hasn't done a thing wrong, it's not their fault Off Kilter is gone. I feel bad for them.

My daughter Katie was following someone who was live tweeting from the Off Kilter site all day. Apparently there were thousands of people that showed up just to watch them, the crowd was loud and rowdy. Disney removed the seating so that there wouldn't be fights for a place to sit and it was standing room only. She said that there were two encores and security had to ask the band to leave the stage. Afterwards the crowd began chanting "Save Off Kilter, Save Off Kilter"

I have watched the last show ( 39 minutes ) and the crowd was about 500...Every time I saw them in July there would be an average of 30 people watching their performance..I hope the new entertainment gets a Disney welcome...

My feeling is that a good portion of the crowd probably also had one too many drinks throughout the day during that last performance.

The way I see it, unfortunately if people are not full of hot air and follow through with their claim to boo the new entertainment, I think the lumberjack show will be undoubtedly be the target of most of the boos. If the lumberjacks hear loud, resonating boos almost everyday, that may be a red flag for Epcot entertainment.

Being a sports fan, I've read so many posts on the age old debate of whether or not it's acceptable to boo your own team. All I can say in that regard, if I keep seeing repeating occurrences for the worse, I will voice my opinion very strongly and if I have to boo, I will. As a sports fan, I value my teams winning very strongly but if they don't win, the very least I want to see is consistency in game execution and/or improvements on the team's weaknesses.

I was at nearly every Off Kilter set, for the past 4 days. Even the 2:30 set on Wednesday, had a bigger crowd than I had ever seen before. With respect to the benches, they were removed Thursday night after park closing, I assume so more people could get closer to the stage, and out of the walkway. The crowd grew larger with every set on Saturday. After the 3:30 set, CMs put tape on the pavement, to create a viewing area/walkway. For the final set, there were about 10 CM's acting as traffic cops thru the walkway.

I would agree that the crowd for the final set was about 500(the crowd in the entire park was bigger than I had ever seen for a Saturday F&W. Couldn't wait to get out of there after the last set). I was located on UK side every set, and didn't witness anything rowdy. Clapping, singing, and cheering. When security went on stage after the second encore, the crowd booed.

Good Luck Off Kilter!!

I was there for a couple of shows on Saturday. I wanted to be there for the very last show, but the lure of fireworks in DHS was too much for me. I will miss you Off Kilter.

Pretty awesome- the final show. I kind of doubt that when the Lumberjacks get refreshed they'll get this much love.
