Sell Me on Rope Drop (MK)

I've got it in my trip plans to make the Magic Kingdom for rope drop. In my head (that scary place) it's the only way we're going to get to do New Fantasyland without being overwhelmed by the crowds. My family... not so excited about getting their butts to the Park that early.

Help me figure out what to tell them that will make the thought of rope drop exciting and a "must do".

You're staying at a Disney resort, right? Let 'em sleep and go do rope drop and New Fantasyland on your own. They'll catch up eventually, and if they miss stuff, they miss stuff.

Or present it that way: "I'm getting up early for rope drop so I can visit New Fantasyland before the lines get so long we could watch men's beards grow in the attraction queue. Anyone who wants to come along is welcome. Anyone who doesn't, well, I will already have done all that fun stuff so I won't be standing in those lines again. So while you're wasting time in line, I'll be off riding the People Mover or getting a Dole Whip without you."

What CCP says! By noon, that area is crazy busy, and the wait times for Under the Sea were 80 minutes last week! The lines for Belle were out almost to the bridge too. No way would I waste that amount of time trying to see these attractions. And that was for crowd level 5 days - I can't imagine what it will be like in June.

I agree with CCP also. You know Kristen if they miss out on the New Fantasyland oh well. You can tell them what a great time you had while they were watching the inside of their eyelids. I bet you'll have more fun than they will. laugh

Yeah there is no selling it Kristen, can't say it any better then what CCP said. She got it spot on! You could tell them too, "call me when you get into the park, but if I don't answer, I might be busy with Belle, so I'll get back to you!". BOOOOM!
