Shout Out for the People Mover!

Ok, folks, here's the deal. If I could only ride one ride every trip, it would be the People Mover. It's my favorite ride of all time. I know it's not thrilling, or fast, or snazzy, but it's been around for every trip I've ever taken, everyone can enjoy it, and there's no better way to rest and see the park. I love this feature that Disney Parks Blog did on it.

So, thoughts? Where does the People Mover rank for you?

I would have to say it ranks VERY highly in my book, probably not #1 but very highly nontheless. Like wise it's on our "must do" list on every visit and often its multiple times.

I like it because there is usually no line for it when we go. Its nice and fast (but not coaster fast) and gets a good breeze from it. Especially enjoy going through Space Mountain and hearing the screams of terror from everyone. Its not on my must-ride-when-@-Disney, but I do enjoy it.

This is how I feel about it. We usually ride it, but not because it's a "Must Do," but because there's usually no line, and it's a nice break to sit down and enjoy the scenery of the park.

It's a great way to relax and enjoy the scenery. We do it a few times when we go. It was extremely cool when we did it at night with all the Christmas decorations! And like Mase, I agree it's fun to ride through Space Mountain and listen to the screams eek

I didn't ride it last year. It's on my list for this year's trip. I may have ridden it when I was younger but that was so long ago. I can't remember if I did. Heck, I can't remember what I did last week. LOL

We have been at another park & left that park JUST to go to MK to ride it..so it's that important to us. I don't think it's my number one but it is pretty high. I love riding it during the parades or during Wishes.

When I was really young, it was the closest I'd get to Space Mountain! I thought it was so cool that it went through the bottom of it.

Me too! In fact, I was a little afraid the first time I went on it as a kid because my parents told me we'd go through Space Mountain and I wasn't quite sure what to expect. Years later on a family trip complete with parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins... Space Mountain was my very first roller coaster experience. clapping And I was hooked forever.

But I love the People Mover and always try to ride it. I love to ride at night when I'm almost at that dropping point. It's a great way to get a second wind and rest aching feet and muscles.

I suppose it would mess with the feng shui or something but I've often wished there was one at Epcot with stops at various countries. It's a LONG way around that lake... geesh.

That was the FIRST ride I rode when entering the Magic Kingdom a few weeks ago.

It's a timeless classic!

SO much fun!

I love when Space Mountain is broken down and when you go through the SM part and all the lights are on it is so cool as well. I've always tried to take pictures but they never work.

Yes! Actually, you could see in during the refurb too - at least during part of it. I think they either obstructed the view at one point, or had it partially obstructed. But I remember riding through and looking up. It was really cool to see what I'd been riding all these years Smile I have no ability to visualize stuff from the dark, as much as I try. It's funny. You know that drop in POTC? I finally had to reason with myself because for the longest time I thought it was much further than I'm sure it actually is...all because of the dark. I'm the person they fool with the dark, in case you were wondering.
