We will be at Disney on the 22nd staying at the Boardwalk. Will definitely try to get in and see what it's like. If we can't get in, I'm sure Ken will be able to take some pictures to share.

Can't wait to eat her! The Disney Food Blog has a post up with the menu and some pictures. I'm drooling over the ice cream and cakes at the Juice Bar!

I went online to make reservations but they aren't listed yet. Anyone know when they will be?

They will probably be listed under the restaurants after if the grand opening, but not except reservations.

On the Disney food blog they said it would be a walk up only. The ice cream and the drinks look amazing.

I watched the DISunplugged podcast this afternoon (because, well, it's Tuesday) and Shaun Thompson and Craig Williams had a review of Spice Road Table. Sounds like the sampler plates are $16 each and it doesn't look like a ton of food, but as a snack to share, I think it seems like it's in line with other options that would be available around the world showcase. They thought it was a little bit expensive for how filling it was. Hopefully this link works. The Spice Road Table review starts at minute 50:00 and it's about 15 minutes long. Hopefully it works to link it like this...

I had the Harissa chicken roll there on Friday - yummy. To wash it down, I had the Tangier's Breeze.

Other than the Harissa chicken roll looking more like an egg roll, I intend to drop by and sample the food. I'm a connoisseur of Moroccan cuisine, especially with having two very good Moroccan restaurants within walking distance when I lived in the city.

Unfortunately, based on my experience with dining at WDW, the food quality tends to go down over time, while the prices keep going up. This is either because they adjust their menu to keep the more popular ones and eliminate the ones that don't sell, or because they had to "dumb down" the flavor to cater to more of the guests. I've seen this happened especially at the ethnically-heavy cuisine at World Showcase. The items at the Marrakesh restaurant itself had changed over the years, and not necessarily for the better.

So go visit these restaurants as soon as you can. You might not have it so good later on.

I totally agree. I also think, in general, the Disney Dining Plan has contributed to the dumbing down of all the restaurants participating. How can any restaurant shine under that system? As soon as it does, it becomes signature dining. Which is why I think restaurants or cafes like Tutto Gusto and Spice Road may escape that fate. The best chance for serious dining in WDW is to let Disney charge cash for the meals based on the cost and mark-up of that particular meal. A voucher system is just going to lead to more generic meals. Off my soap box.
