You have to do it. It's worth seeing for the technology and the effects, and the advanced Audio Animatronic that's featured. If you're a fan of Stitch, it's all the better.

The attraction is more of a show than a ride. It features your standard pre show before you're seated in the main area. I won't give too much away, but let's just say that Stitch is his usual self, causing all kinds of chaos, and you'll find that you're right in the middle of the havoc he wreaks!

If you experienced Alien Encounter during it's brief lifetime, you'll realize that not much has changed other than the themeing and the dialogue. Much of the general idea has remained the same.

I've got to say skip it. If you have lots of time in the MK, then try it out, but if you're pressed for time, put it off til next time.

When you're trying to relax, too! laugh But, point taken. I never like to miss out on anything if I don't have to!

I have to admit, I did do it once. I skipped it several trips before & every one after. We were big AE fans, so the disappointment is just too great. sad

What'd you like about AE?

Thanks Leota. Sorry about the disappointment! I hate when they mess around with my favorite rides! Just look at the abomination of Journey into Imagination! waiting

I really enjoyed it. It's silly and somewhat juvenile (with crass humor), but I thought it was fun both times I went on.

My wife and I will be there the same week as Leota. Can't wait.

Hi LIFL!! Welcome to the Boards! Have you been to the F&W festival before?

I just love it. It's my favorite time of year at Disney World. The food and wine festival has enough "free stuff" like the Australian wine walkabout and the American beer seminars that you can really do a lot of interesting things on the cheap. Plus, trying some of the Disney favorites at the kiosks (like Le Cellier's cheddar cheese soup) without booking a reservation is a great opportunity.

Also really enjoy Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. Will you be going to that?

I have never ridden it and probably never will. I loved AE because it was so well done and it was scarier than anything else Disney - which I thought was a huge plus!

It was one of my favorite attractions at Disney (I was there 3 times when it was around and rode it 5 or 6 times) and I just know Stitch would pale in comparison

I think Disney sometimes forgets that the things that made them great really weren't that "sanitized." It's like comparing the early movies to recent ones. Or even Pixar movies to recent Disney movies.

The Haunted Mansion has some "graphic" stuff in it but people still enjoy it. I think they may just need to take a few more risks these days.

You know it! I CAN NOT WAIT! That's one of the things I'm most excited about. We've wanted to go to a halloween party the last couple years and never have time. We're looking forward to dressing up and not acting our age. Well, I say 'we', but my wife doesn't know:) Most of the plans beyond the main parks will be surprises for her. She doesn't know about BBVD (and we enjoy swing dancing, the music, the scene), the F&W festival, the cruise, the fancy dinner, MNSSHP, or any extra stuff.
