Sunny FL May trip

So they don't call it Friday the 13th for nothing....my reservations did not show up online so I couldn't make any FP+ yesterday at my 60 day mark. Had to call this morning and a sweet girl named Raven got it right! Yayy!! We are on our way!!

My DH and I have decided to make a last-minute (for us anyways) trip to the happiest place on earth. After this harsh winter, he had had enough and came in one day and said make the reservations now. I am usually the one that has to talk him into going so much! lol

So this is the plan: May 11-17th POR w/6 day phopper tickets
New things for us: Star Wars Weekend, eating at some new restaurants, meeting up with the Ferrets

Made all the FP+ choices we wanted and got them later in the day this time. That way we can laze around at the resort and swim or eat a big breakfast or just sleep in late. This is going to be a lazy visit.

Our schedule which is subject to change:

11-drive down, check in resort, then DHS FP+ are Indiana Jones, Star Tours, and Toy Story Mania
12-park hop, MK for FP+ SDMT, Buzz, and HM
13-park hop, AK FP+ Safari, Dinosaur, and Lion King show (which we skipped last time)
14-park hop, Epcot for FP+ MS, Soarin, and Nemo
15-AK, Epcot for FP+ Figment, TT, and SE and Herman's Hermits
16-last day sad DHS for SWW, then MK late night FP+ Splash Mtn, SDMT, and Buzz and meetup with Ferrets.
17-leave

We haven't made any dinner reservations yet. May play it by ear this time. Will add if any changes come up.

Sounds great, Boomer! So glad you get to meet up with the Ferrets and do a SWW. Which new restaurants are you thinking about?

Thanks Belinda! Hope you got your choices too!

Thanks crazycatperson! I don't think we ever stop planning, do we? Lol

mickey watchmaker thanks!

Hi alicemouse, thank you! We have never eaten at Germany or Japan at Epcot. We are still trying to decide where we want to eat or we may just wing it and eat CS plus the food booths at Epcot. We pretty much eat the same places at all the other parks.

Well it is getting closer! Only 28 days! We are just waiting on our Magicbands to be shipped! Our DD and her DH are flying down on Wed so we are getting very excited for them!!
If anyone has been to the tequila bar, how was your experience? It may be one of those firsts for us!

I've been to La Cava. I was there about 20 minutes before it opened and there was a line. No ride at the end but there was an amazing margarita waiting for me. I got the Horchata Margarita (DELISH). The girl in line with me was in the same situation as me, the hubby didn't like tequila so we wanted to just hang out together and drink. LOL I would love to have time to sit in there, have some chips and salsa and try a couple of flights! The only thing that disappointed me is the drinks were all pre-made. I would have loved to gone in and had interaction with the bartenders while they were making my drink. But with the crowds that place gets, I understand.

Sorry I was in a hurry and didn't look up the name silly . But, yes it is the La Cava. I have heard about the avocado one! I may try that one! I think DH is trying a flight. Thank you!!

Yeah they were really packed last trip so we didn't get in. Keep fingers crossed we can get in this time! I agree JMed! Didn't know they were premade! I will pass that on to my DD cause she was going to try it this week. Thank you!!

Thanks for the reminder Figgy!!!

My DD and her DH just got back from the honeymoon!! They had a wonderful time at WDW!!! clapping We are so excited about our upcoming trip even more after talking to her about their fun!! They ate at several new places that we haven't ever tried so they are on our to-do-list now. Cannot wait!!!!!!
They liked staying at the Pop. She is used to staying with us at moderates so there is a difference between the two. They used the pool quite a bit. They weren't overly impressed with the food court but did eat there several times. I think there just aren't as many choices as POR. They liked having the one bus to the parks. Their room was right near it, so not much walking to do. Overall, I think they would stay there again but would do the meal plan next trip.
