Ticket deals at Universal?

The ticket prices are outrageous at Universal, but we'd love to go for a half-day or so to try out the new Harry Potter stuff. I know that the last time we went there was a deal where you could get a two-park, week-long ticket for pretty cheap (one of those pay for two days, get a week kinds of things).

Anybody have suggestions of good ticket deals happening now? I've searched and can't find anything good.

We usually have the Orlando Flex-Ticket, but that includes Seaworld, Wet N Wild and Busch Gardens as well as the Universal parks.

Wow - I just looked and they have the 1-day 2 park for $112 - that's nuts! We went last year and I paid $84 or so for the same ticket. That was before HP opened....

I'm not aware of any great deals though.

I'm pretty shocked by Universal prices. I'd swear we went once and got the whole week at both parks for less than $60 per person.

I just hope Universal remember that they spurned us with their ticket prices when HP mania dies down and they're back to begging us to go again! laugh

It's funny I hear more and more people referring to "Universal" as "Harry Potter."

Haha, that's the only reason I'd go!

That is crazy..$82 a day?? I haven't studied up on my ticket prices for Disney lately but that's significantly more yes?

I think it's about the same. A one day one park pass is $88 at the gate.

Tony, is that typically the case? I always thought that historically Universal tickets were cheaper than Disney. Or was I just seeing specials?

When I see prices rises published for one park the others typically follow within a few weeks.

Do you see specials more often for Universal? Disney never seems to do "sales" AFAIK.

Well know that I know that they are pretty comparable to Disney I guess it's not THAT bad.

I guess I usually book a package so I don't "see" the prices per day first hand..I am grateful for that much!
