Toy Story Mania Scores and Tips

Joe and I often bet on who's going to get the highest score on TSM. I usually lose.

But that's not the point....I'd love to know how other folks do, and I'd love any tips or see-krits on getting a high score!

This was from our 2009 trip - one of the few times where my score was higher than Joe's! (that's why I took a picture - ha!)

And these were the tops scores of the day:

So share if you remember - what's your top score on Toy Story Mania?

This was from our past trip. Im on the left and my son is on the right. The trip before I got much higher.

The trick I found is you need to find the secret spots and be aware of the higher points.

I totally suck and that and Buzz Lightyear..Dave always scores so high. Of course, he likes to remind me that he spent the better part of his youth training for such an event and I should let him have his moments. Then I call him a nerd.

But you're not bitter.

Mase, I find it interesting that, while your score is higher, DS's accuracy is much better. Laughing out loud

I usally get the cat rank on TSM but I do considerably better on WDW's Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin...

Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin

I got the highest score you can get about 1/2 way through the ride. admittedly, I dont KNOW what I hit or how many times I hit it but I was pretty bored for the rest of the ride lol!

Now, at Disneyland, my score on TSM is about the same.. the rides are IDENTICAL. But Disneyland's Buzz ride is (in my opinion) better and more difficult, but I still do better than on TSM.

In the first room.... over to the right... really far away there is a target worth 250,000... You can usually hit it twice, and the room before the tunnel... there is another one far away, but cant remember where it is... I couldnt find it last time we were there and its worth the same too. I just wish I could remember the last one... and could tell ya exactly where the first one is... heh

I seem to be in the minority in thinking that WDW's Buzz Lightyear ride is better.

Omigosh...I change my vote! True confession time - I had never ridden Toy Story Mania - until last nite. That was - good grief - SO much fun! I mean, I wanted to get RIGHT back on it last nite!

Here are our scores - I'm on the right. My friend whooped me - but who cares? Can't WAIT to ride it again!

Jess - I'm just seeing this! I'm so sorry I didn't respond earlier.

Actually, I had a parkhopper given to me, but it expired before the end of May, so I had to hurry up and use it. I got to go to the park a couple of times with good friends while they were in town, and one of my friends knows DHS really well, so I got a quick tour of the park, and I got to ride Toy Story Mania for the first time ever. It was awesome!

I'm sure everyone knows that there are a few hidden tricks to get more points for this attraction. Since this is in the Tips and Tricks forum, I'll post a link to one of the sites giving you some of the tips/tricks in case there are people who are not aware of them.

http://www.studioscentral.com/toy-story-midway-mania-secrets

This is one of those ride where if you and your partner know what to do and can work together, both of you will get higher scores.

Zz.

Thanks Z,that's cool. My dh always beats me bad, I'm not going to tell him about this, he doesn't need the help! We actually don't ride this very often due to the long lines. Sad
