Transportation from Cruise to Magic Kingdom?

I've been trying to read back thru the boards to see if I could find the answer to
my question...but so far no luck so thought I would just ask..

Does Disney provide any transportation to or from Disney Cruises and the Magic Kingdom?

I am looking at connecting a 4 day cruise to next years December Magic Kingdom trip..
but am contemplating how to make the connections such we will probably fly and not drive.

I see there are also two ports for the cruise ships, Miami and Canaveral...does that also
make a difference ?

confused

I think if you book the cruise and the WDW trip together and are going out of Port Canaveral, Disney Cruise Lines do provide a bus over to WDW after your Cruise. When I was down there in October, I saw several Disney Cruise Line buses dropping people off at their resort. Plus, Port Canaveral is less than an hour from Orlando. Its much closer than Miami! I'm sure Kristen K can provide you with more detail.

From Port Canaveral Disney does have a bus that runs, there is a charge, though I don't remember what it is. We chose to take a limo instead so we could be on our own time schedule.

As far as I know there is not transportation from Miami. Miami is pretty far away from Orlando, while Cape Canaveral is only about an hour. Also, the Miami vs. Port Canaveral cruises go to different places. I wanted to go to Key West, so I booked my 4 night out of Miami.

Since you're looking to do a land/sea it's probably better to look at cruises out of Port Canaveral.

Agreed with all above, and they DO have an "early debarkation" option if you want to leave the ship at around 7am and get on your way to WDW quickly. There are buses available for that.

Disney has transportation between the cruise ship at Port Canaveral and a WDW Resort hotel (transfers were $70 per person when I went in Sept. 2012), but I have never heard of transportation directly to the parks from the cruise.

Yes, DCL takes you from the port to the resort and vice versa (along with airport to port or airport to resort) from PC as Kristen said I don't believe they are doing the Miami to resort transfers.
We had second seating for dinner which gave us the late last breakfast(8:30). We got through customs, rode the DCL buses and were checked into our resort by 11:30 at the parks by 12:30. It was fantastic Smile
