Treehouses part of Saratoga?

If you're a member at Saratoga, do you get an 11-month window at the Treehouse Villas?

Yes. Because it is like any other part of the resort that belongs to your home resort.

It is still a puzzle for me why they make the Treehouse Villas as part of Saratoga, because thematically, the look of Treehouse Villas just simply doesn't fit into the rest of Saratoga Springs.

Zz.

I'm guessing they didn't want to sell them separately. Probably too few units to justify it's own "resort".

That makes sense.

Seems like a huge boon for Saratoga owners!

I agree with this too. There are only 60 units and they are all the same size (sleep 9), so no way could it be it's own resort, it doesn't have a wide enough appeal.

I think that it's part of SSR so that they could open up sales at that resort again. In addition, geographically it's closest to SSR, though it'll have it's own check in.

To continue with that thought, our boat captain from SSR to DtD told us that the Treehouse Villas will have their own boat dock, so they don't have to use the main dock at SSR.

However, we got to talking to a CM at Artist's Palatte and she told us that the Treehouse Villas will not have any restaurants. So they will have to walk to the main building at SSR for groceries or soda refills...it's kinda a long walk...across the LBV Golf Course!

That's a serious drag that I hadn't considered. I guess you could lay in a bunch of stuff, since I think typically if I were doing a Treehouse it would be for a gathering of some type. Do you know how close parking is? I didn't see any on the map.

Yeah, I would say the treehouses are designed for a different kind of trip. They're certainly not "in the middle of it all."

They're definitely unique though. The last time I was at DVC though they didn't try to sell me on them at all. I kept saying how nice I thought they were but they just kept pushing other properties. Not sure what their thinking is.

I have heard that the walk to SSR main buildings is quite long indeed! I always like to have access to the resort's shop for just-in-case necessities. Will guests be able to use golf carts like they do at Fort Wilderness, I wonder?
