A quick note: the Egg Roll Cart was removed from Adventureland in MK. Apparently it disappeared a couple of months ago. I have made inquiries with guest relations and will keep you posted. I never even got a chance to try the cheeseburger spring rolls. mad

Wait what? Egg Roll cart???? I didn't even know about it before and I want it back.

I like the pizza at Via Napoli. Pizza and Chianti; you can't go wrong. And keep your Wagyu beef and give me pepperoni.

So now the Castle isn't the only weenie ruined by cranes.

Lot's of construction in AK. Can't wait till it's finished. I'm really looking forward to the Rivers show, Avatarland not so much. But I'm keeping an open mind.

I had been to Y&Y twice before this trip and it was really good both times. I had an excellent burger the first time and I just ordered a bunch of appetizers the second time. They also have one of the best desserts in the World, the fried cream cheese wantons with ice cream. Anyway, typical of Disney restaurants consistent inconsistency, this time Y&Y was not so great. And the service was bad also. We chatted with the server and she was a nice enough person, maybe she had too many tables or whatever. They took one of the dishes off the bill because it was so bad we barely touched it. The dessert was good anyway. And the beer.

I miss the Hat at DHS. I didn't think I would, but I do. I don't think the theater cuts it as an icon. JMO

Did anyone check out Rebel Hangar at DHS? I have a feeling I missed the best thing at Star Wars weekend. How did I miss that?

We did the Jedi dinner with Mickey at Hollywood and Vile. I don't know who coined that name but it fits. I had eaten there once before and swore it off as the equivalent of the buffet in National Lampoon Vegas Vacation. But it had two things going for it: all the characters in their Star Wars costumes and Fantasmic Dinner package seats. The food was predictably awful. You'll find a couple of things you could eat, but on the whole it's pretty freakin bad. But the great thing is, you get the characters and you don't have to wait on lines to see them in the park in the heat.

Yoda looks so sad

We also got the Feel The Force Premium Package for the next day. This in my view is a complete waste of money. Here is what you get. Premium viewing for the afternoon parade and evening fireworks dessert party. Also you get into some interview with a SW personnage. I am not a big SW fan really so that didn't interest me.

As far as the parade viewing, you could sit on the curb an hour before the parade and get good viewing too. The dessert party was the same sad desserts that Hollywood and Vile was serving. I will give them credit for free drinks, and I mean alcoholic beverages and all you can drink. I was downing the Jedi Mind Tricks as fast as I could. I don't think there was all that much booze in it, but they tasted pretty good.

And then the fireworks. The view from the dessert area was pretty obstructed. A better view was in front of Minn and Bill's or right on the street.

a little stage show, most of which was lost on me

obstructed fireworks

Fireworks need something in the foreground or background for a point of reference and scale. The Hat, although not great, like the Castle, was pretty good. What DHS has now, is not so good. Maybe a really good photographer could make it look like something.
