Typhoon Lagoon vs Blizzard Beach

Which is everyone's favourite? For me it has to be Typhoon Lagoon. I love the tropical themeing, plus I don't think any amount of waterslides could beat Typhoon Lagoon's wave pool!

I also used to love River Country - why did they get rid of it?

I keep hearing that it's a result of Florida legislation that says you can't have a water park that includes water from a "natural" water source. I'm not sure if the whole deadly-amoeba bit is true, but I can believe they want the water chlorinated.

Also the River Country capacity was way too small when compared to the capacity of of the newer more modern water parks.
also the fact that the parking was difficult did not help, but dsoup is spot on about the problems being mostly about the water source.

Makes sense about River Country...I mean, think about how careful they are now with diapered infants in pools and on cruise ships.

I love the slides and theming at Blizzard Beach, but we prefer Typhoon Lagoon since it seems to have more shady spots. All that white "snow" can be blinding at times. It would be interesting to know if sunburns occur more there Smile But the ski lift at BB is so neat!

We love the water parks. We've been tempted to get a pass to them.

I was lucky enough to get to all three parks many times and Typhoon Lagoon is still my favorite....probably because it's the first one I ever went to!

I'm not so hot on Water Parks (no pun intended), but I do enjoy Blizzard Beach Smile. Summit Plummit is the scariest ride at WDW, the theming is interesting and I LOVE the mat slides!!!

Not a big fan of lazy rivers either...it makes me feel lazy and stupid, just floating there...lol!

Once I saw this girl READING while floating!!! Now THAT'S a challenge...

Since I've only ever done Typhoon Lagoon, I have to go with that one. I love the wave pool there. It's so amazing and fun to get knocked off your feet by them laugh I also love the part where you can scuba with the fish and sharks. I didn't actually do that but got to watch the ex do that and it looked really cool. I like how you can go below the tank and watch everything from "under the sea".
