Walt Disney World Cast member attacked by guest.

If Disney doesn't start prosecuting these folks, like the brawlers in Disneyland, I predict this will only get worse.

I was just reading about this. They need to do something.

I've always felt very safe at WDW, it's one of the reasons I like to go. Now not so much. If this continues I wouldn't be surprised if they see a drop in attendance. They need to remove the riff raff immediately when this foolishness happens.

What in the frell? eek I just don't understand people anymore. Why do people think this is OK?

The Disney spokesperson said "We don't tolerate unsafe behavior." This article says that the group is banned from Disney for life. Personally, that's one of the worst punishments you could levy on me.

I've seen a family fight escalate in HS, it wasn't pretty. (It is in a trip report somewhere) I just feel really bad for the people who are hurt by these actions. Yeah, you are on vacation but it can be stressful. Disney especially. With rising costs, the heat, fast passes, being everywhere on time it can take its toll on people but there really is NO NEED to act the way these people have. God bless anyone I see acting a fool next week. I won't keep quiet about it.

I have had a guy put in his finger in my face then in my co-workers face. I've had a co-worker get spit on in the past.

I've had a cast member jab his two fingered point in my face. Guest Relations compensated me magically.

I really don't understand people and the world we are now living in. I try to treat people the way I would expect to be treated or my parents or friends. Yes life can be frustrating but at Disney (or any other place) it isn't the end of the world or your life if you cannot do ToT or 7DMT, stop wasting the time you do have with negativity and move on. CM need to have respect too and I am not justifying any bad behavior but we forget that even for all the training they are people too we just expect better. And yes I would have complained if I had had fingers in the face.

That is unacceptable but I have lost my cool in the past. I have never point my fingers in anyones face though. I do my best to keep a magical appearance while dealing with the situation at hand. Sometimes it is really hard to keep my composure. I can't tell you how many times that I have had to go back to the break room to cry or stop shaking. I did recently get in trouble for the way I handled a situation a couple months ago.

I always say, "There is no excuse for rudeness." We're not living in the Game of Thrones world where there's no middle ground. (And I never even seen the show, full disclosure.) There should be, if not always, a middle ground to every problem. And to get there, keep your composure and express concerns professionally. People have completely forgotten that cooler heads always prevail these days.
