WDW For Grown Ups...

Aye..It's a great site, and a great name, but hold the phone....I'am a grown up.( No comment from Figgy or Mr Ferret ) But when I get to Disney I'am a kid again...Now don't get me wrong, my DS shakes his head in disbelief when I start dancing with certain characters..( Dad..Your a 60 year old man..get wise ) Sorry son. sad ..But it's true..Where else in the world can you walk up a Main Street wearing Mickey ears, and not one person will bat an eyelid..If i wore mine in my local supermarket back home, there would be two men strapping on a white jacket that ties at the back, and taking me away to the funny farm..LOL..So here's what I'am asking...No lies here please..Does Disney make you feel like a kid again.?..Do you tend to do things that you wouldn't dare to do back home..I remember the first time I saw " Festival of the Lion King " At the end I was up singing and clapping along...My DW just laughed..My oh My...I hope I never loose this childish infection that a Disney vacation gives me..Long may the magic live in my heart...Ok..Back to my question..( Sorry but I get carried away now and again ) How does a Disney vacation affect your feelings.?...Do you act like a kid again.?.Do things you wouldn't do back home.?

I wore ears, I sang all the songs on every ride and show, I had popcorn, ice cream and I visited and hugged every character I could find. I did a rendition of "Singing in the Rain" when I found the umbrella in HS. I bought glow with the show ears and wore them at night in DTD as well. I wore a tiara and had lunch with Cinderella and dinner with the princesses. I dressed up as Dorothy at MNNSHP and went trick or treating.

Nope....perfectly behaved adult here.....

For me, it's more of how I feel than how I act when I'm at Disneyworld. WDW makes me feel like a kid again because I forget about everything else going on in the world when I'm there and I enjoy the moment.
I have no responsibilities of a "grown up" when I'm at Disney.
Disneyworld lets me be like a kid because it's all about instant gratification, indulgence, pure joy and believing in Magic muchlove

I totally act like a kid. I get excited to meet characters and interact with them. I can quote a ton of things that happen in WDW and I sing along with songs and the shows. When Mickey tells Minnie that she's always been a princess to Mickey in Dream along with Mickey, my heart melts a little bit more. I still get teary eyed during the last scene during Fantasmic. I still wave to characters in parades and shows. I can act as silly as I want and sure people stare at me but it's a good stare because we all act a little silly at the parks.

I am pretty young at heart, even at home. We do and love all things Disney. You will find me wearingmy ears in the Staten Island Mall rather than in Disney World.

Absolutely. At home I'm, well, right around the same age you are. At WDW I get to be ten years old again. But without my parents telling me what to do!

I sing and dance in the parks. I wear my Minnie Mouse ears headband on my flight to Orlando. I love character meet and greets. I'm there in line with my autograph book.

I always act like an adult, even in WDW.

That is why I do the "wee wee wee" thing from the Geico commercials on the thrill rides and sing along to the music when possible.

I get excited whenever I see a character. When I was there in October I had my picture taken with the Beast and my girlfriend told me that I was babbling because I was so excited to meet him. When I first see the castle in MK I am 10 years old again. I am always a kid in WDW.
