What bag do you carry?

I know that when I walk around with my (usually heavy) purse on my shoulder, say, at the mall or something, I wind up with a burning pain between my shoulder blades after a while. It kills! Thinking ahead to my trip in November, I want to be comfortable, but still be fashionable. So a fanny pack is probably out of the question Smile Anyone know what STYLE of bag I'd be better off with? Cross body? Mini back pack? I would appreciate any feedback!

well, it's been about 6 years since my last trip, and then it was just me & my hubby... I think we just carried cash/ cards in our pockets - no joke. Now, I have my four year old twins... I actually just bought a few weekends ago a smallish backpack w/ a ton of compartments & space. I'm planning on bringing this in & not much else - if I can help it.

We typically carry a backpack, but keep it as light as possible. I've tried the fannie pack thing and just didn't care for it. Having both shoulders to bear the weight seems to work for us.

One of us often carries a "backpack" that's just a WDW satchel with two straps on it. It's small and lightweight enough that you can carry it in a lot of different ways and stow it easily, but since it has the two straps you can wear it like a backpack if it starts to get heavy.

We (particularly I) like to travel light in the parks though. Also our bag isn't terribly fashionable except it has Disney stuff on it! I think a mini backpack could be great if you want to still stay fashionable.

I like to have both hands free when walking around the parks so a small bum bag (fanny pack) for the camera is all I take carry. If any more than that is needed for later in the day then a small drawstring bag gets put in the park lockers.

If I carry anything it's usually a small style backpack purse. Nothing too big or too heavy. I usually don't like to carry anything though.

I have to say, I loved our bag. It was a small shoulder bag, but was shaped like a back pack. Big enough for what we wanted, but small enough not to over fill.

I always over pack so we ended up with sunscreen, a water bottle, camera, cell phones, and advil.

But with hubby's back problems, I ended being the tough wife and carrying the bag mostly.

I love those stringy backpacks. They're easy to stuff into pouches when you're riding rides (like BTMRR has that net-like pouch that this can fit into), and I'll wrap the ropes around my foot when I'm on RnRC!

I love those, too! I have a soft-fabric WDW one from a million years ago. I use it as a gym bag at home and as my carry bag in WDW.

I carry a cross-body bag that has a zip top, with a zipper pocket on the back and two velcro flap pockets on the front. Each "end" of the bag has a deep pocket that hold my camera (in the front) and a .5 L bottle of water (in the back).

I start out with it fairly empty, just a card-case wallet, sunscreen and moist towlettes and I fill it up with "goodies" as the day progresses. The back zipper pocket is the perfect size for my park map. The strap on this bag is long enough that the bag rests comfortably on my hip and wide enough that it doesn't cut into my shoulder...provided I'm carefuly enough to not overload the bag.

The bag is an older style Vera Bradley, which I especially like since it is cotton and not "sticky" on those hot CFL days!! The style is called "Cargo Sling" and there are some available on eBay. I LOVE this bag for WDW!

I love the new hipster bags that have come out recently.

I've got a nice Vera Bradley and a nice Coach that I bought at the Orlando outlet. Both are nice and light and comfy for packing stuff in there including my water bottle and camera but also secure around me if I decide to do a coaster.

It's the new style or maybe it's a resurrection of a 70's style bag that goes across your body and hangs on your hip. I think it's kind of left over from the hippie days. For me it works because it's much easier to carry heavy stuff across my body than just on one shoulder.
