What if (edition 12)......

My wife is away on a mini vacation so im going to fill in for the What If while she is gone... sooooooooo

WHAT IF....... You had a HUGE group of 10 or more people who havent been to Disney World and only had one day, but your the veteran. Would you try to attempt to hit as many parks as possible, and if so... which ones and for what reason? Or would you stick to just one park to get the most out of it and which one?

uh.. lol.. lots of variables in there!

I would.... try to show them as much of the parks as I could! I just think, for me personally, I would like to SEE the sights. That'd be more important than actually riding rides. Maybe we'd get on 1 or 2 at each park.

I think I would take them to Magic Kingdom in the morning as it is the most iconic park. If we finish there, I'd go to epcot in the afternoon or evening. I would want to go to epcot especially if the group is mostly adults. I would find it too hard to coordinate 10 people to go to more parks than that.

I'd hit the MK or Epcot and that'd be it. Big groups are like herding cats, I don't think there's any way you can get in much more than one park with that sized group.

I'm with Brad. In fact, I'd narrow it further, and say on your first trip to WDW, put your blinders on and plan ONLY to do MK. Do it at a nice, leisurly pace, and point out ALL the details, rather than just running to and fro, trying to get in only rides, or only foods, etc.

There is soooo much to do at WDW, I think it's very easy to overplan and end up not enjoying yourself at all.

I think I would limit it to 2 parks. Otherwise overload and transportation nightmares! MK for iconic reasons, and either Epcot or HS - Epcot has alot more to offer, but HS is small enough to easily be done in a half day or less.

I bet I could manage 3 parks with that crowd now that I think about it. I would really want to show them Epcot if for no other reason than to show them it's not just an educational park like so many seem to think! I want converts! wink

but if you pick a day that has long hours.. admittedly it would all be about planning.. but..I'd hate for 1st timers to not at least SEE all the parks.

I say one park max. Groups are so uncontrollable. Unless we can split everyone up.

Jeff - Epcot is my superfave! It's tough to tell anyone EVER to skip it, but...

Everyone - It's hard to go with the one park recommendation, but I just feel like a first timer would lose a lot of time in transportation, esp with a big group. Plus, like I said, I keep seeing on the boards a recommendation to rush to and fro to get rides and experiences in - not on this thread, but on others. It just seems that it's kind of counter to taking in all the rich detail of the parks, like the the special landscaping in AK, or the second story windows in MK. These just so much magic everywhere.

I know these are all opinions. Just wanted to expound on where I was coming from and my perspective of remembering what it was like when MK was the only park.
