Huh, I've never even heard of this! Cake is good. Grapefruit is good. But together?!?!?! My taste buds are confused.

My most frequented restaurants are Riverside Mill Food Court at POR and Morocco's Restaurant Marrakesh.
Love the pizza at the food court (which I hear you can get anywhere) and Marrakesh has THE best couscous I've ever eaten! I went there 3 times in a 12 day trip. I will be going back for more couscous on my next trip, too.

I actually love Riverside Mill. It's a really relaxing place to grab breakfast mid-morning.

Peg - I know...it's a mindbender, but it's delish (hint: there's just a little grapefruit, and plenty of sugar...so all the flavor and almost no bitterness.)

Cdub - Nope, but no time like the present! My mom's recovering from knee surgery...what a nice little treat that would be. And of course I'll have to sample to ensure quality assurance. I'll take pics, I promise!

No...more like the flavor without the bitterness....have you ever had the bottled Ocean Spray Ruby Red Grapefruit Juice? I believe it has added sugar. (it's a great mixer with rum or vodka, btw...not that I would know...) ANYWAY....it's more like that. I'm all inspired to make those cupcakes! They're in line right behind the Christmas baking (and gbread house) that I haven't managed to accomplish yet. :-/

Bella, it is funny you say that ... I am almost positive that you can order a piece of Grapefruit Cake over at Starring Rolls. They might look at you funny, but it's definitely worth a try!
