I have been to some places that get a lot of hype and were disappointed. Three come to mind: Beaches and Cream, Liberty Tree Tavern and Trails End. I thought all three were poor meals especially the later 2. B&C was ok, but I dont get the hype about the burgers

And while good I dont understand why Le Cellier is that popular

Based on moderate ratings and reviews, my expectations for Liberty Tree Tavern were low.....they didn't exceed expectations. I remember....having one of the worst tables in the house...a server that seemed ok, then disappeared when we needed something. I had the turkey dinner and felt it was quite dry, and needed more gravy. Took too long for the server to inquire about our meal, he looked stunned at my request, and apparently he had to go to Timbuktu for the gravy. I don't remember anything about the dessert, it either took too much time for our dinner, and we didn't order any, or it was so boring, I don't remember, and I tend to remember dessert.
Also, what's up with no cranberries?

I probably won't return, unless with others who insist on a sit-down lunch. It wasn't horrible, just nothing special.

I had a reservation for Be Our Guest for 2 people on Nov 30th. Found out that someone here was looking for one for 3 people and I tried to convince Disney whats one more. laugh However they don't see it that way. I will just keep trying for a 3 person reservation. I really think Disney could be a little more flexible on one person yuck

Don't get me wrong I'm not mad, I'm just disappointed that I couldn't spread the magic. I like doing that when I can. Finding hard to get ressies is what I do. biggrin muchlove I will just keep looking. I have all of my ADR'S, so looking for other peoples keeps me occupied and in the Disney spirit. Sorry I am whining but I am totally disappointed and no one including J knows how disappointing it is to not find ADR's you want.

Ive been trying twice a week to get at least 2 spots for there for my daughter. She is a huge Belle and Beast fan, but more than likely we will have to wait till next year. But im gonna keep trying.

I agree completely, there's nothing like hometown Jersey Italian. Never tried Mama Melrose, never plan to.

Mase you better step it up a notch, scrappy's been trying to get you a reservation since the start, and she tries at least twice a day for you.

I have been to a lot of restaurants in Disney World and my least favorite place was the Norway dinner. There was nothing good to eat at the buffet and it was very disappointing.

As for Chef Mickeys... true, the food can be compared to Golden Corral but I was not disappointed because I made the reservations to see the characters and that I was not disappointed at all! Mickey, Donald, Goofy...etc all stopped at our table and that is the main reason we went. I would go again one day, but first I need to go to all the other character breakfasts first. I enjoyed Ohana's too... but mainly went for the ambiance and the disney characters... We're going to Cape May in December and I'm sure the breakfast will be the same as Ohana's and Chef Mickey but it's a different atmosphere..

Usually the biggest disappointment are due to lines or not having a reservation(have not made that mistake again). The plaza on Main Street has been the biggest let down but our staff made up for the food. Food can be off anywhere and same with wait staff. I'm sure we have had a few less than desirable meals however it the menus where overly fancy people traveling with 5 kids may not find something for everyone. Looking Forward to this fall. mickey

Actually the breakfast at Cape May is much better. More variety and kept much fresher.

The only restaurants that I was the slightest dissappointed in was Chef Mickey,1900 Park Faire and whispering canyon. The first two, the food just wasn't our favorite, mickey but the characters were great, which is why we were there. Whispering Canyon was ok but service left us dissappointed as we missed an activity we had planned to go to. Took over thirty minutes to get our check.

Momma Melrose was really good. We had six in our party and we all loved it. Nothing beats Ohana with Cape May Cafe a close second.

Look how cute you are! Love the Halloween attire!

My last experience at Blue Bayou was not great. Food was good, atmosphere and service were THE PITS! We were seated near the front door at lunch time, so it was very bright if you looked one way and too dark if you looked the other. I had a killer headache when we left from my eyes trying to adjust. The staff kept bustling by us to and from the water/bus station and so it was super busy and I got bumped into many times. Then our waiter was absolutely rotten, couldn't answer questions, took a crazy amount of time to bring our food, and never once refilled my iced tea. I would go back again for the food (which I found good not outstanding), but I would really need to be at a table on the water with a decent waiter.

My biggest complaint is that I have been trying for the past three years to get a reservation for the Magic Kingdom Fireworks Dessert Party and because it is limited to 50 guests per party, it sells out while I'm on hold or by the time I try to reserve it online. This is extremely disappointing, especially since I am an Authorized Disney Vacation Planner.

If anyone is interested in booking a vacation to anywhere in the world, I'm your girl. I specialize in Disney Destinations but can send you anywhere your imagination can think of!!!

Blegh, I have honestly never actually eaten a turkey leg at the Magic Kingdom, but I still have nightmare-like food-flashbacks to the smell of them cooking when I got to work every morning before the park opened (I worked in frontierland, so there was no escaping that smell)... not a fan

Ok I can't remember ever being disappointed well except when we got that teenager at %0's Primetime that told us to eat our vegatables and elbows of the tables. Strange coming from a kid young enough to be my son....oops I mean my nephew. awesome

I have a disappointment now. I just got an email from Bistro de France saying that they will not open on time and they are going to change my reservation to Chefs de France. yuck I have eaten at Chefs a few time and I wanted to be one of the first to eat at the new restaurant. oh well that can you do about it.

I heard back from Disney today not only will Bistro de France not be open on time , December 6th, the bakery in France will not be open either. I love the bakery. I can't go through 10 days in Disney without my almond croissant or my creme burlee. I know I can get my creme burlee other places but it will not be the same.
They say the bakery will not be open until mid January.

I was bummed about that too. I had planned on doing a lunch there and now I'm not quite sure where I want to go.

The contact at Disney that was emailing me said it would be reopened in Mid January. Too late for me maybe it will work out for you.

Crystal Palace... Went there for dinner for MNSSHP and the food was cold and starting to congeal. If I hadn't been on the dining plan I would have been pretty peeved at the cost as well.
