I have not heard that story. I did hear about the same happening to Tigger.

It happened back stage around feb 10th. The year I'm not so sure of. Really sad. But the news did a great job of focusing on how hard he worked to earn that role.

Ditto. I think they should install zappers in the seats and shock people who try to sit down without moving all the way over! yay

Also, we were riding the ferry back to TTC from MK during our honeymoon in 2003 and we saw a guy being tracked by the police or security(?), taken into custody, and forcibly escorted off the boat when it docked...no idea why!! He didn't do anything suspicious on the boat that we saw. THe episode had a feeling like they had been looking for him for a while.

That's when my boyfriend and I make a point to move all the way over by crawling over them. A guy I know who used to work at Lights! Motor! Action! Asked a family politely to move all the down the row. When they didn't move, he sent guests all the way to the end of the row to make his point.

When there was a restroom next door to the Peter Pan ride, I walked in and came face-to-face with a young girl, about 8 or 9, apparently waiting for her father to finish his business. She was just standing in the restroom, trying to be funny by asking questions about why the men were standing to ... well, you know.

I'm assuming there was no other family/group members to keep an eye on the child (but I'm skeptical on this one), but I'm almost sure a passing CM would have been more than happy to keep an eye on the child for a moment.

As a father of 3 daughters, I couldn't imagine putting a very aware pre-teen in that situation.

Those are normal questions King Fergus. I had someone ask me where Disney was while standing in Liberty Square. They are completely serious when they ask the questions.

At Studios, I was checking one of my restrooms and I looked up to see a man leave the woman's restroom.

I keep a smile while answering them then once they are far away, I let out a little chuckle. Most of the guests that ask these types of questions are usually our international friends that don't speak very good English.

Agree folks..Like the little sister asking her big brother what's all the peoples names on the bricks as you walk towards MK...His reply.." Oh that's all the people who have died riding the Rollercoasters." eek

So not sure why it has taken me so long to share this story. With many Disney visits under my belt, I have seen many strange things, but there is no doubt what the weirdest is. One time I was using the restroom outside of the monorail at ticket and transpiration center. Upon leaving, I met my friend who was waiting on me, who told me to wait and keep an eye on people coming out of the woman's restroom. Just a few minutes later, sure enough there a black woman wearing slightly African looking clothes exited, with a full beard. And there is no denying the fact it was a woman. Very creepy.

DisneyDoc I have a friend who takes her knitting everywhere. She tells me it is very calming and is very aware of what is going on around her.

I am one of those, but I don't haul it to Disney. I think in that case my DH would not stay with me.

Well, one of the weird ones was 18 months ago with DH and two adult sons. Our youngest (25yrs old) stood in line for ALL the princesses to have his picture taken. All these little girls in their princess outfits and here is my tall, yet rather handsome son posing for all the pics and posting them on facebook. At one point he was posing with "Beauty" when "Beast" poked him from behind and nearly scared him to death. It did not, however, stop him from posing with the Beast as well.

The best one though.....(drum roll, please)

(My DH always uses this story) We like to people watch as many of you do. I also tell my husband as I age, that I don't weigh much more than when he met me, but it seems to be in different places. While none of us should judge other's size and shape, it was, even for Florida, a very hot and humid day at Epcot. We were following a "full figured" woman in a "flowing garment accredited to an island". However, she was also obviously very hot and the garment was sticking to her in many places that none of us would wish, and becoming in those "same sticky" places rather transparent. It was quite obvious to anyone looking that she was, as my DH would put it "unharnessed".

He looked and then turned to me and said very clearly, "I never want to hear you complain about your figure again. EVER." awesome

OMG oldtink that was my first laugh of the day. Just love that story about the lady and the garment sticking to her. Thanks for sharing.

We saw so many teenagers sitting in the bathrooms charging phones. I wanted to say "You are at Disney! Put the phones away!!"

Okay... I need to stick up for the kids on this one. If they were there with their family those phones may very well have been the only quick line of communication with their parents. I would MUCH rather see kids charging their phones in the bathrooms than think that they missed their check ins or a meet up with their parents...I say let the kids charge away in the bathrooms, at least they are being responsible enough to keep in contact.

I can see charging in the bathroom as a last resort, but the really responsible thing would be to make sure your phone is fully charged every morning. I had a little run-in with hubby a few years back on this very issue. At the time he and I had identical phones. At WDW, I always make sure I plug mine in every night so it will be fully charged the next day. So we get to Magic Kingdom, and hubby asks for my charger. Which I did not have on me because, hello, my phone was fully charged. And he got pissed at me for not anticipating that he would let his phone die and being prepared with MY charger when he needed it. Now we don't have the same phone, so if his dies at least he can't blame me.

I carry a small battery charger for the phone just in case.....I never need it if I have it.

More or less funny story than weird.

My daughter was 4 at the time, and she really doesn't look up much. Well, she was running around a play ground at I think was AK, and seen her run full blast towards a man who had similar shorts as me. She two handed smacked that mans butt, then hugged his leg. The look on her face when she realized she had done that to a stranger was priceless. I had to stiffle laughter while giving her a hug. laugh

At the apartment building where we live there used to live a couple in their 60s who constantly bickered. The wife would yell and insult the husband, using foul language, and swatting at him when especially angry. Rarely did the husband say anything. It was an odd sight to see.
