I am really interested in a Disney cruise, however my wife is absolutely terrified of going on a ship. I might be able to talk her into an Alaska cruise, but it will be a challenge.

What is she afraid of? The Disney cruises are amazing! What can we do or what questions can we answer to help her out?

Well she has a fear of the ship sinking and sharks, I know the chances of that are about the same as being struck by lightening (or lower). However with our luck.....

That sounds like my and my fear of flying. We live next to the Charleston International Airport and my friends say I am more likely to have a plane hit the house than me crashing in one...

Anywho, as far as the sharks go. I have a friend who has the same fear and a couple of years ago we finally got her on a boat and on a float out in the harbor. She finally convinced herself that there is no way a shark was going to be that far up in the harbor and that we were all there "watching out" for her. As far as sinking goes, I occasionally think about that too. I just have to convince myself that it's not just going to drop to the bottom of the ocean or flip over and that all Cast Members are well trained to get us all off to safety.

If any are available on other cruise lines near you, why not try an overnight "cruise to nowhere" or a short 2 or 3 day to see how it goes!

OOOH OOOH Me Me!

September 25th-29th on the DREAM with one day at F&W Fest when we get back into Port. Its my gift to Mom & Dad in honor of their 50th Wedding Anniversary! It will be the 3rd Disney Cruise for me and DH and a 1st for Mom & Dad, and my brother and his family!
