The Wine Menus..

Hello everyone...Yep, it's me again..If I'am not talking about food, then I'am thinking about drink..( Have I got a problem confused ) Anyway, even if I'am in a strange restaurant for a quick drink here in Scotland I always like to look at their menus to see if there's anything that tickles my fancy and then I always have a look at their wine selection..( Rule of thumb, a good restaurant should always have a good house wine ) Anyway this brings me nicely onto my question..Is there any site that has Disney restaurant wine lists..My Disney Experience site has the wine list for Yachtsmen Steakhouse but I can't find any for Jiko or Artist Point..( I know both have extensive wines available ) If anyone knows where I can find wine menus for WDW this would be much appreciated.. awesome

I know that Boma's has a bar just outside of the restaurant and they bring their drinks in from there, so I would imagine if there is a "separate" bar at Jiko's it's the same? Help anyone else with input?

At our favorite special-occasion restaurant closer to home, they bring out a file card box with each wine on its own card so the "list" can be updated daily if necessary.

Anyway, that may be why you can't find a list - if the list changes often it would be too much of a bother to post one.

I've found ones from AP at Wilderness Lodge..

I am a wine drinker. I have noticed that buying a bottle of wine in a Disney table service restaurant is much more expensive than buying the same amount by the glass. So when in Disney, even at a nice restaurant where we would normally order a bottle of wine we will have glasses of wine instead. Check it out yourself when you are there before you order a bottle. It is the opposite to the UK where it is nearly always cheaper to buy a bottle.

Good call....What is the average size of measure of wine glass.?( Typical Scotsman )

Well the empty glasses are a good size, how full the bartender/server fills them up varies. I would say that when we order a glass of wine at the bar it is larger than our 175ml size but not always as large as a 250ml glass, although it is on occasions especially if you chat to (and tip) your bartender Wink

Just an example. We were at a bar in Downtown Disney. We ordered two glasses of wine. I think they were about $9.00 each. We saw the bartender open the bottle, pour the two glasses and there was about 1/3 of the bottle left. A bottle of the same wine was around $45.00 so you would be paying $25.00 for the third glass. It makes no sense.

So, we will just order a Pinot Grigio or Sauvigion blanc by the glass. We have never had a bad wine ever at any Disney Restaurant or bar (and I am fussy).

Jiko does have its own bar inside and just to the right.
This review has pictures of the dessert wine list and the brandy/port/single malt list however not of the full wine list

Off the top of my head I don't know an online source that always has the wine lists available.

I've looked before too. Haven't found anything other than a random photo posted that included a page from the wine list. But I agree with Miss Mikki - I've not had a bad glass of wine so far from a signature dining spot. When I try something new, more often than not I am pleasantly surprised.

Now I've certainly created my own clunker by trying to pair a new wine with a dish. If there is a pairing suggestion, I almost always choose that one.

Depends a lot if it's the beginning of the bottle or he/she is finishing off.

No, I mean if the waitstaff is starting a bottle, they tend to pour the "standard" amount, but if the bottle doesn't have enough for another glass and they are at the table, the waitstaff will often just empty the bottle, so sometimes the last glassful from the bottle "can be" a bit more generous. Just from some of my college waitstaffing experiences and dining at WDW, but if the whole bottle is on your table to start with.....
