Your Pixar Top Ten

I saw this blog post today and it got my thinking about MY top ten Pixar movies..because let's face it..they are all pretty great. I will start off by saying I have NOT seen Toy Story 3 yet so I'm not going to include this in my list...

1. Monsters Inc. I had never seen this movie until we went to Disney World and saw the Laugh Floor. The Dave LOOOVVEEEDDD this attraction and we must have gone at least 5 times. When we got home the movie was $5 at Target so I bought it and now it's our favorite muchlove
2. Up! Why oh why do I love movies that make me cry?

3. Wall-E This..gosh..I have no words..just love.

4. Ratatouille I know..rats are gross..but this movie made me love rats and wanted them to cook me dinner. I also attempted to make ratatouille once because of this movie..it was yum..

5. Toy Story

6. Toy Story 2 (although I must admit this might be higher because I remember loving it but I haven't actually seen it since its release)

7. Finding Nemo I always loved this movie but I didn't go nutty for it like most people did

8. The Incredibles

9. Cars I like this one..I feel bad giving it the number 9 spot..but the theme of it just really doesn't do much for me

10. A Bugs Life Why so low??..because I've never seen it! I think I'm insane!

Do you agree, disagree? What's your list??

In reverse order (and I'm going with all 11):

11) A Bug's Life - just didn't do it for me, though I'm willing to try again
10) Cars - didn't really like this one either - it was WAY too long for my taste
9) Monsters Inc -- sorry, it's a good movie, but just not as good as the others
Cool Ratatouille - I did really enjoy it, but it didn't have the oomph some of the others did
7) Toy Story 2 -- as much as I loved it, it wasn't as good as the other two movies, and at this point I still wasn't sure how much I liked Jessie because I find Joan Cusack kind of annoying
6) Up - beginning was fantastic and sad - the end devolved into an action movie
5) Wall-E - very good movie, but like Up, the end kind of lost me
4) Toy Story 3 - excellent movie, may move up on further viewings
3) The Incredibles - exciting, funny, creative, but not quite as memorable as...
2) Finding Nemo - everything in The Incredibles, plus a tighter story -- only reason it doesn't beat....
1) Toy Story -- ...is because this is the original and you have to give credit where credit is due. Memorable characters, story, lines, action, and tons of heart. This wins first place for sure.

I'm with teacherdrama, we need a buildup. I'm only including the ones I've seen:

7. Bug's Life
6. Cars
5. Toy Story 2
4. Monsters Inc.
3. Toy Story
2. The Incredibles
1. Up

#1 has gotta be Incredibles. I could watch that film over and over and over again. I think I have a crush on Elastigirl.

#2 is Toy Story, no doubt. What a great film.

#3 is Cars. I really liked how they were able to create an entire non-human universe, but make it completely recognizable to humans. Gets high marks for creativity if not for storyline.

#4: Up. Good film. I really enjoyed it, but it was a bit long (kept checking my watch). It gets points for character development, though -- amazing.

#5 is Monster's Inc. I loved the interplay between Mike and Sully, and, again, the non-human world that was created was brilliant. There's a lot that goes into making something like that consistent.

#6 , #7, #8 Toy Story 2, Finding Nemo, A Bug's Life -- Toy Story 2 and A Bug's Life fall here because they didn't even make an impression on me. I don't even remember them. Finding Nemo is the bane of my existence. I actually find that film rather boring. I'm glad I've seen it, because it's infiltrating Disney World right now, but I don't want to see it again.

I'm really surprised by how differently everyone ranks them.

Finding Nemo seems like the most controversial one. Some ranked very high, some very low.

I'm kind of amazed at the couple of low Finding Nemo votes. I find the movie completely charming and very funny.

To each his own Smile

I think it's completly adorable and I love Dorie..but I'm not sure what it was exactly it just wasn't a favorite.

Perhaps I have a fish complex I am unaware of?

Maybe...I can't believe there are people who put it at the bottom of their list!

A fish complex. This is interesting. Do you eat seafood? Hmm...
