About WDW For Grownups

Christmas Hidden Mickeys

We're big fans of finding Hidden Mickeys around here! For those who haven't heard of them, Hidden Mickeys are defined as:

a partial or complete impression of Mickey Mouse placed by the Imagineers and artists to blend into the designs of Disney attractions, hotels, restaurants, and other areas.

WDW For Grownups Sunday Round-Up

Parkeology points out two noteworthy things: First that Pinocchio was Italian, yet his restaurant in the Magic Kingdom is German. Second that there's a bell you can ring if you've been working out. Who doesn't love ringing bells?

Animal Kingdom Character Trees: Part 2

Today we're showing off the beautiful world of The Lion King's Africa and Finding Nemo's Australia -- in Christmas tree form!

Disney Holiday Gift Ideas for the Guys

Here are some great Disney gift ideas for the tough-to-shop-for men in your life!

Liberty Tree Tavern Lunch Review

One of the aspects of Disney World dining that often frustrates me is the inconsistency of the food. What is my favorite restaurant one trip will often be mediocre the next trip and terrible the next. This is one of the reasons I always think of Liberty Tree Tavern as one of my all-time favorite Disney World restaurants. I have never not enjoyed my meal there.

Top beer spots at Disney World

Good beer is surprisingly easier to come by at Disney World than one might think. Not a drop will be found at the Magic Kingdom, but there's plenty of great brew to be found in Epcot, Downtown Disney and the Boardwalk resort area.

Disney Dream Officially Becomes a Disney Ship

Meyer Werft, the German company that is built the ship, has officially handed the Disney Dream over to Disney in a "traditional maritime ceremony." The flag of the company was lowered and replaced with the Disney flag to signify the ship's change of ownership.

The ship will be captained by Tom Forberg, who has been with Disney Cruise Lines for fifteen years. In fact Forberg launched both the Disney Magic and Disney Wonder and is no stranger to sailing on a new Disney vessel.

Animal Kingdom Character Trees: Part 1

For many years now, Disney's Animal Kingdom has created a winter wonderland in Camp Minnie Mickey. This year is no exception, as 14 creative Christmas trees have been decorated to represent beloved Disney characters.

In this series, we'll show off the trees and their intricate decorations! Today, we'll take a look at the Chip and Dale tree and the Pluto tree.

Chip and Dale Tree
The Chip and Dale tree is full of Chip and Dale's favorite things -- acorns, popcorn, and little replicas of their house all decorated for Christmas!
