New Breakfast Buffet Option at the Contemporary

Looking for a great breakfast in a quieter Disney setting? Check out The Wave...of American Flavors at Disney's Contemporary Resort.

While there is an a la cart menu, the breakfast buffet might be the way to go. A bit out of the way near the kitchen, dishes are presented in smaller pans and are replenished often for consistent fresh and hot fare. While there are a few old favorites on the buffet (Mickey waffles, anyone?), there is a nice selection of newer flavors, including sweet potato pancakes and a coffee cake version of the Sticky Mickey.

Over 70 Topiaries On Display at Epcot

The International Flower and Garden Festival remains in full swing at Epcot. Another festival-related update: last week, the final topiaries, featuring beloved characters from the Oscar-nominated film "Toy Story 3," were put into place. The final number of topiaries for this year's festival? Over 70!

Lotso, the villainous bear from "Toy Story 3," has joined Buzz Lightyear and Woody near the front flower beds. Make sure to get a whiff of Lotso - he's strawberry scented.

Near Epcot's World Showcase entrance, Lightening McQueen and Mater topiaries have been added.

Disney Exec: Rising Gas Prices Won't Derail Economic Recovery

Filling up at the pumps certainly costs more these days and might even leave some consumers with a serious case of sticker shock. This past week, a top Disney executive said he doesn't expect the price of gas to adversely affect the number of theme park visitors.

A quote about rising gas prices from Chief Financial Officer for Disney, Joe Rasulo, from a conference earlier this week: "Historically, we have not seen that, in and of itself " separate from a downturn it might cause. In and of itself, oil prices have not dampened visitation or interest in visitation to our theme parks."

Disney Posts Update in Earthquake's Aftermath

As most are aware, an 8.9-magnitude earthquake occurred near Japan's coast on Friday. The Disney Parks Blog gave an update yesterday regarding Tokyo Disney Resort, the Disney Wonder and the under-construction Hawaiian resort of Aulani in the wake of the event.

It's been nearly two years since there were fresh pictures for the Disney Dream Portraits series, but that wait is over as Disney Parks recently unveiled three new Annie Leibovitz portraits.
The nearly four-year-old series features well-known celebrities captured as well-loved Disney characters. This latest round of portraits includes some villains- a first for the series.

Animation Academy

Disney World's Animation Academy is a fun -- and free (with admission) -- activity that just about everyone will have fun with. Guests are treated to a hands-on character drawing lesson taught by a Disney animator, and because the character you learn to draw is different every time, you can keep going back several times over before it gets boring.

Real Life 'Up' House

Who hasn't watched the Disney Pixar movie "Up" and secretly fantasized about tying a million balloons to their house? The people over at the National Geographic Channel made that fantasy into a reality recently as they set out to create their very own version of the balloon-propelled house made famous by "Up."

How to Compromise with Your Partner

This idea actually came form Annie on the board. We all love our significant others, or we wouldn't be with them, but they aren't perfect. No Jason, I love
you, but you aren't perfect, and I'm not either!

We have to deal with our partner's annoying tendencies every day in life, but
when you are on vacation, they can seem to be a little more annoying because you are just trying to take a break from the every day. Here is how we deal with a couple of the small ones.
