Disney’s Disability Access Service Card Goes Digital

Disney's Disability Access Service Card has gone digital. As of April 30 cast members will no longer be writing down return times for attractions but will now scan guests' tickets or MagicBands. This change has been instituted so that the disability accommodation can be integrated with My Disney Experience.

Walt Disney World Resort Clarifies Policy on Selfie Sticks in Theme Parks

The next time you're ready to take the plunge on Splash Mountain at the Magic Kingdom just remember to keep your hands, arms, legs, and selfie sticks inside the ride vehicle at all time. Because, while selfie sticks haven't been banned at the Disney theme parks, they are prohibited on all attractions.

Ticket Price Increases Announced at Walt Disney World Resort

After several weeks of speculation, it's official. You'll be paying more for single-day and multi-day tickets at Walt Disney World. A one-day ticket for the Magic Kingdom is now $105 plus tax. The ticket price for the other theme parks has also increased to $97 plus tax.

More changes are coming to another long-time attraction at the Walt Disney World Resort.

This time the change is happening at Disney's Hollywood Studios as the Studio Backlot Tour is closing for good on September 27.

Rumors were starting to swirl in recent weeks about the possible closing of the attraction, but Disney confirmed the news last week saying only that the Backlot Tour is closing to make way for new development.

Walt Disney World Resort Announces Two New VIP Tours

The Walt Disney World Resort recently announced two new VIP tours for guests.

The Ultimate Day of Thrills: A VIP Tour Experience is for those guests seeking a thrilling visit to the Disney theme parks. The tour lasts six or seven hours and includes riding attractions at the Magic Kingdom, Disney's Hollywood Studios, and Disney's Animal Kingdom in addition to lunch at a table service location.

Attractions for this tour include Toy Story Midway Mania, Expedition Everest, and the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train.

D23: The Official Disney Fan Club Taking Disney Fanniversary Celebration on the Road This Summer

The D23 Disney Fanniversary Celebration is hitting the road this summer, taking the celebration of Disney milestones and anniversaries to select cities around the country.

The celebration is presented by Walt Disney Records The Legacy Collection and this year's Fanniversary will showcase theme park attractions, films, television series, the 1964-65 New York World's Fair, Sleeping Beauty, Haunted Mansion, Disney's Hollywood Studios, and more.

Disney Reports MyMagic+ System is Working for Guests at Walt Disney World

The Walt Disney Company is reporting that the MyMagic+ system is working for guests on several levels.

During a conference call to discuss the company's fiscal second quarter results, Chief Financial Officer Jay Rasulo told analysts that Disney is "pleased with some of the changes in guest behavior and park dynamics" with regard to MyMagic+.

The company said one of the biggest benefits they're seeing is the increase in the number of guests who are planning their trip details in advance of their vacation.

Walt Disney World Resort Looks to Fill 1,200 Jobs through Online Job Fair

The Walt Disney World Resort has more than 1,200 job openings and they're hosting an online summer job fair through May 31 to fill the positions.

The open positions include jobs at all four Walt Disney World Resort theme parks, two water parks, the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, Downtown Disney, and the resort hotels.
