The announcement came about three days after Disney fired the previous president Jim Lewis as well as two other executives. Financial difficulties concerning Aulani, a Hawaiian-based Disney resort set to open soon, may have lead to the dismissal of the executives and appointment of the experienced Ms. Bilby to the position.

'Olu Mel Merchandise At Disney's Polynesian Resort

'Olu Mel is the kindhearted 'ukulele-playing sea turtle mascot of Disney's Aulani Resort in Ko Olina, Hawaii. He's been exclusive to Aulani since his debut in 2018, but the spirit of Aloha he brings to fans simply can't be contained because you can currently find the little guys taking a vacay at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. I noticed this sign in the Great Ceremonial House last week and had to check out 'Olu Mel for myself.

Disney's unique concept of a time share and the things that it would offer its owners shook up the industry when it first debuted and has been providing world class service ever since. My husband and I bought our membership in 2008 and while we wouldn't really call it a financial "investment," it is by far the best investment in our family that we've ever made.

Should Disney Continue with Stand Alone Hotels?

It was announced last month that The Walt Disney Company has canceled plans to build a 500 room National Harbor resort in Washington, D.C. Disney purchased the 15 acres in May of 2009 for $11 million.
