New Restaurant from Chef Art Smith Confirmed for Disney Springs

Celebrity Chef Art Smith is bringing farm-to-fork cuisine to Disney Springs in the summer of 2016 with a new restaurant, Homecoming: Florida Kitchen and Southern Shine. Chef Smith was raised in Jasper, Florida so the restaurant's name is inspired by his heritage.

The Brown Derby Lounge Is Now Open For Cocktails and A Bite To Eat

There's a brand new spot to grab a drink at Disney's Hollywood Studios, with the opening of the Hollywood Brown Derby Lounge. Setting up residency on the existing Brown Derby patio, the lounge will provide service on a first come first served basis with specialty cocktails, wine by the glass, and a tapas style menu. The space offers both indoor and outdoor seating to relax and enjoy the old Hollywood atmosphere of the Brown Derby.

After Hours Entertainment District Coming To the Disney Magic

Disney Cruise Line's Original Ship, The Disney Magic is scheduled to go in for a dry dock refurbishment that is going to knock the socks off anyone who had seen her before. An amazing number of spaces are being completely redesigned to update technology, freshen the spaces, and add all new excitement to this classic ship. The adult only entertainment district is one of the areas that is being gutted and replace with some all new environments.

Disney Cocktails: The Lapu Lapu

One of the most beloved drinks at Disney's Polynesian Resort has got to be the distinct and delicious Lapu Lapu. Served up in a pineapple, this concoction of rum and juice is a classic Disney must do on any monorail crawl. Made by combining Myers's Original Dark Rum with Tropical Fruit Juices and topped off with Bacardi 151 Rum the Lapu Lapu is a fun island delight, but not for the faint of heart.

Today we're going to take a look at another one of the tasty cocktails on Disney's standard drink menu for 2013, the Citrus Infusion. My companion and I enjoy this cocktail at the Top of the World, but you can find at lounges across property. Disney must have anticipated guests going crazy for this lime green beauty, because it actually has double billing; found on both the bar/lounge and the pool bar menus.

Staggering from my room in the morning on the way to the park drop I vaguely regret the excess of too many Grey Goose slushies the night before. Food is a must have and I've got a reservation at Boma, but what I'm really looking forward to is a Mimosa. This simple morning drink of one part orange juice, and one part champagne is a Mother's Day Brunch favorite that I've declared my vacation staple.
