D23 "Imagining Tomorrow, Today" Pavilion Teases Great Things To Come

D23 Expo has kicked off in Anaheim, California and even before the doors opened to fans exciting news about the future of Disney Parks and Resorts was revealed. A pavilion at Disney's ultimate fan convention entitled "Imagining Tomorrow, Today" shares a peek at what's in development at Disney Parks worldwide. Included in the preview are exhibits featuring new attractions in store for the Magic Kingdom, Epcot, and Disney's Hollywood Studios. Check it out.

2018 Epcot Festival of the Arts Runs January 12 through February 19

The 2018 Epcot Festival of the Arts is slated to run for 39 days from January 12 through February 19, 2018. The schedule for next year's Festival is a change from the inaugural event which only ran Fridays through Mondays. Next year just the Disney on Broadway performances are happening Friday through Monday each week.

Full List of Candlelight Processional Narrators Announced

The full list of narrators for this year's Candlelight Processional has been announced. Additions to the complete list include Disney Legend Kurt Russell, Olympic gymnast Laurie Hernandez, and the voice of Ariel, Jodi Benson.

Epcot was one of Walt Disney's original visions. Originally standing for the Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow, it was actually intended to be much more of the basis for Walt Disney World than the Magic Kingdom. Eventually however his initial vision proved too grand to be carried out and it became the less expansive park that you see today.

New Entertainment Options Replacing Several Fan Favorites at Epcot’s World Showcase

Disney has announced that several popular entertainment acts are being replaced in Epcot's World Showcase.

In the next few weeks Mo'Rockin', Off Kilter, Spirit of America Fife & Drum Corps, and the World Showcase Players will all have their final performances at Epcot.

Disney said they are "refreshing the atmosphere entertainment around World Showcase with the addition of new acts and enhancements to some existing performances."

The Walt Disney World Resort is full of incredible food options and dining locations and that is especially true at Epcot. You can experience an exotic tapestry of flavors as you tour World Showcase, but one of the best is Via Napoli in the Italy Pavilion.

The restaurant sits in the back of the Italy Pavilion and has a rather grand facade in a stately looking building. Via Napoli is owned by the Patina Restaurant Group, the company the runs the other two restaurants in the pavilion, Tutto Italia and Tutto Gusto.

Of course we're talking about IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth, the nighttime show that tells the story of the history of our planet in three parts and features lasers, fire, water, and fireworks in addition to a dramatic musical score.

The show debuted as IllumiNations 2000: Reflections of Earth during Disney's Millennium Celebration and was so popular that it has remained at the park ever since.
