Dapper Day Events Celebrate Stepping Out in Style at Disney Parks

For the past couple of years there has been an unofficial yet very fashionable event happening at the Walt Disney World Resort, Disneyland Resort, and Disneyland Paris. It's called Dapper Day and it's a chance for attendees to look their best while visiting the parks.

Those participating in Dapper Day are encouraged to dress in sophisticated fashion - from vintage to contemporary styles - and active or retired military are encouraged to wear their dress uniforms.

Raglan Road Hosting the Great Irish Hooley During Labor Day Weekend

The Great Irish Hooley - which is Irish slang for a party or celebration - is returning for a second year after great success last year. The event will feature traditional Irish food from celebrity chef Kevin Dundon, live music, and even dance workshops.

The Walt Disney Company Reports Third Quarter Earnings

The Walt Disney Company recently reported its third quarter earnings for the fiscal year and two segments - parks and resorts and media networks - showed increases in revenue.

The reports showed the company's net income increased 1 percent up to $1.85 billion, and revenue increased 4 percent to $11.58 billion which was still lower than Wall Street's expectation of $11.7 billion.

2014 Walt Disney World Marathon Sells Out

Less than four months after registration opened, the 2014 Walt Disney World Marathon has sold out, making it one of the fastest marathon sell-outs in runDisney history.

More than 26,000 registered runners are set to participate in the Disney Marathon Weekend on January 8-12, 2014, with 13,500 signed up to run the 26.2 miles that make up the marathon.

Walt Disney World recently donated $100,000 to the American Red Cross Mid-Florida Region to support the organization's disaster relief services.

This donation, which will be used immediately by the Red Cross to help families impacted by local disasters, is part of Disney's ongoing support of the Red Cross' Annual Disaster Giving Program. The program supports emergency and disaster preparedness around the country.

The Ho'ike Hawaii 16th Annual Hula Competition is an annual event that brings Hawaiian and Tahitian dancers and dance teams to central Florida for a friendly dance competition with others who share their love of the hula culture.
