Pandora - The World of Avatar opens Saturday, May 27, and this week Disney held an official dedication ceremony for the new land as part of a media preview event. Disney CEO Bob Iger was joined by Avatar director James Cameron and cast members from the film for the dedication.

Become a Wilderness Explorer at Disney’s Animal Kingdom

If you have seen the Disney/Pixar film Up you might remember that young Russell is a Wilderness Explorer who loves to have great adventures and earn badges based on those adventures.

Soon guests at Disney's Animal Kingdom will have a chance to become Wilderness Explorers just like Russell, experiencing the park in a way that will deepen their understanding of animals and our natural world.

Head Out on a New Adventure as a Wilderness Explorer at Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Just like Russell in Disney/Pixar's UP, young guests at the Animal Kingdom can become a Wilderness Explorer.

The Wilderness Explorer experience gives kids - and grown-ups - the opportunity to discover all the natural surroundings of the Animal Kingdom while working toward earning one or more of the more than 30 badges available.
