It's funny how Disney "outsiders" (i.e. people who don't really research their trip) have NO clue when the "off season" is. My in-laws are going down to Harry Potter-ville in July and last night my MIL was discussing when the best time to do Orlando would be and she was set on these two times:
1. The week in between Christmas and New Years. eek
and
2. March

I have learned to just kind of grin and bear it with my MIL so I just kind of nodded and said "uh-huh".

Bahahahahahaha! I know the feeling. Can't WAIT to hear how it goes for her, and if she tries to pretend that the "crowds weren't bad."

On a separate note, sent the WM song to a friend. He said, "Who has that kinda time?" I said, "Money, Honey." Smile

Oh dear, definitely a Disney newbie! I am cringing just reading this! I prefer mid-October, the week AFTER Thanksgiving and the early part of February. I have had wonderful weather, minus a few cooler days, on these trips and the crowds are usually small. YAY Don't tell our secrets though!

We have had annual passes for 12 yrs now and have made some observations over the years. There used to be more down times when the crowds are manageable. Usually in Sept after kids are back in school, through right before Thanksgiving is a good time, and the temperatures are comfortable (my fave time living in FL) Early spring has always been good too, but now anytime we go the crowds are HUGE. As the years go by we swear Disney is more and more crowded no matter what time of year. Of course the holidays have always been huge, but it is super crowded anytime we go. We went after Mem day during the week thinking it wouldn't be too bad since kids are not out of school yet and summer hasn't started, and it was jammed! We were just there this past Mon. (avoiding fathers day) and there was not a line under 80 min at Hollywood studio! We can't figure out a good time to go when the crowds are down anymore. Now we go expecting crowds but it's not as much fun.

Hi Julie! I've seen you around the boards before but I don't think I've ever welcomed you!!

Do you live in the Orlando area??

I agree with all the great packages Disney has going on it seems like the parks are always crowded!
