Do you use cash, credit card, or room key in Disney World?

We usually activate the room key, but it normally doesn't get used unless we split up, not that it would matter in the long run, the card I tie it to is the same one we use while in the parks. If I think far enough ahead though, I try to buy a few Disney gift cards a few months before hand, to supplement my spending.

Oooh,.. and I'm the first comment on the second page clapping

The Disney Gift cards are really nice to use in the parks and for shopping, especially with the app, you can see instantly what is left on the card.

We use the KTWC for most everything. Hubby likes to pay cash for tips!! This year we were going to use the Epcot F and W card but might just use the Magic Band instead.

I use the KTTW b/c it's so convenient. With the magic band, I foresee it getting worse, as I won't even have to dig out my wallet. However, I do try to keep a running tally of what I've spent. I learned the hard way from cruising that it's a little too easy to just swipe and go, and then suddenly that envelope with the bill in it is so thick it won't even fit under the door on the last day!!

I really hope you had the finances to cover that bill.

Oh, Mandy, never underestimate the power of Visa!! laugh

I'm not. That would stink to come off of vacation in debt.

I am a cash budgeter in general, but for this trip, we are planning to use our magic bands for spending. We've been saving up a "fun budget" in a separate checking account from our normal finances, and we're hooking that debit card up to the bands. I am a frugal enough person that I'm not *too* worried about overspending, but I'll be keeping track of purchases just to be sure. I don't want the Disney magic to make me lose track of my normal budgeting tendencies!

I use the KTTW or as of last trip the MBz and then each night I pay with a GC before going to bed.

And that is why I don't charge to my room. Plus using my debit card forces me to keep track of what I'm spending or risk overdrawing the checking account I use for travel.
