Before I move on to the cruise portion of our trip, I wanted to post additional pics I snapped of the Boardwalk. I took these on Saturday morning before we left for Port Canaveral.

Day 4, Saturday, May 11th

We woke up around 7:30ish this morning. Bell services picked up our suitcases at 8AM sharp. We purchased DCL transfers. They placed a letter under the door that stated they would pick us up at 12:30PM. We went down for breakfast to Kouzzina again. Yummy! I highly recommend this place for breakfast. We just paid out of pocket the times we went there and it is around $12 - $15 per person. After breakfast we went back to the room to gather our carry on luggage. We then went and waited in the Bellvue Lounge. There were two other couples waiting with us, ironically with no children. We checked in with the attendant and waited. We had some coffee and other snacks while we were waiting. After about 30 minutes they walked us out the front entrance, down the covered walk way, over to the Boardwalk Convention center. The bus picked us up there. It was so exciting! Here is our bus:

We watched a really cute video on the way there. It was about an hour drive from the Boardwalk to the Port. We arrived at the port around 1:40PM. We had to stop at Art of Animation and pick up a ton of people before actually leaving. We arrived and saw our ship! It was amazing. We were so excited. We got off the bus and got into the line to be scanned. We also purchased two bottles of wine at EPCOT from Italy and Germany to carry on the ship. We quickly got through security and made our way into the port area. We checked in and were ready head aboard! Here are some pics:

Our stateroom was a balcony room on deck 7. We were in room 7050, which was forward. As soon as we got into our room, I snapped pictures of the room and from our balcony. You can see the other ships in port as well.

Entrance:

So, it was a gorgeous day at the port. We had lunch in Cabanna's and it was delicious. We then went exploring the ship before leaving port. We went to our room to get ready for dinner and just chill. I looked outside and saw this HUGE storm coming. Needless to say, we left port early, but the storm still caught us! It was crazy!

So, the storm caught us and it basically stormed the entire first night. It was fairly rough seas. We could see lightning the entire time throughout dinner (through portholes). It was crazy. Our first dinner was in Enchanted Garden, which was my hubby's favorite spot! It was so gorgeous!!!

It was lovely! We went to show after dinner and it was great! It was pretty rough so I went to bed after the show....

Stay tuned for our first day at sea!!!

Great report so far. We've never been on any cruise, but I'm trying to persuade DH to try a Disney one. I will be showing him your photos - maybe that will tip the balance in favour of trying one. crossfingers

It's kind of ridiculous how happy seeing DCL pictures makes me. This has totally made my morning!
I obviously need to get back to a Disney Cruise, I'm so excited to hear about the rest of your trip.

At first the cruise installment was making me think, "OMG I need to go on a Disney cruise!" Then you got to the rough seas and I'm thinking, "Okay, maybe not." Darn motion sickness.

I will very much enjoy living vicariously through your report, though.

No, no! You should def. go once. When I say "rough seas" I don't mean it was like puking rough or even stuff falling off tables. It was like a slow motion movement. It didn't make me sick or anything, I just didn't like it! haha

Yep, you lose me too. Slow motion movement is pretty deadly for me. Terra firma needed here - but I sure do love seeing it all through you!

I'm not sure if the motion would bother me. I don't really get motion sickness (except if I read in a moving vehicle). My problem with a cruise is that I can't be in an enclosed space over water, no matter how big the space may be wink I get panicky Puzzled
So since I can't go on a cruise I'm glad I can get a glimpse of them through your trip report biggrin

Sorry I have been MIA. My in laws got here Wednesday from Iowa and will be here for two weeks. Also, next week is the last week of school so I am trying to pack my room up and embrace the summer break ahead!

Now...back to the report!

I left off on our first evening. As the seas were gettin' high and rough (for my taste biggrin ) I stepped out on the balcony. Let me just say that I had a very strange creepy feeling. It is so dark out there, in the middle of the ocean. You can't see anything, but black darkness. I was thinking how small we really are in this big world, especially compared to all the sea life!

A note about our server: His name is Mo and he is from London. He was freakin' awesome! He worked at WDW at Rose and Crown as a bar tender for two years before working on the Fantasy. He was really cool. You will see him in a video later. He is actually engaged to a "national" Rapunzel. (Yea, we thought he may be shittin' us too so we def. facebook stalked him when we got home and it's legit!) His fiance is a National Rapunzel for the Walt Disney Co. doing performances and appearances all over the USA. She has been in a Disney commercial too!

We slept in on Sunday, May 12th. It was nice. It was a GORGEOUS day at sea! We went to breakfast and made our way to the adult pool. Adult pool in quiet cove rocks. We laid in the sun for 1/2 the day and read books. We swam in the pool and had a few drinks. We had lunch and then met our friends at the main pool. Our friends that went have children so they never came to the adult pool. We met up with them and watched some Disney movies on the jumbo screen and of course rode the Aqua-Duck! Smile It is such a great water ride! We loved it! After hanging at the pool all day, we went to use our spa passes. We bought a day pass for senses spa. The showers, sauna, and private deck area was awesome. Those heated lounge chairs were awesome. We literally took a nap there. I didn't take pictures of the inside because Robyn already did that and well it's exactly the same as her TR! Smile We left to get ready for dinner! Tonight was formal night! We were in Royal Court for Formal Night which worked out perfect!!! After dinner, we ditched the show and went back to senses spa. No one was there so we had it all to ourselves! That is the best time to go! However; cue the bad weather. Yes, it was rough seas again! I had to dip out of senses spa early because it was terrible. Now, tonight it was so rough that when you walked, you were walking at an angle. I walked into the wall a few times because of the movement. I went back to the room and got ready for bed. I was totally weirded out. My hubby wanted to sleep with the balcony door open, but it was too windy and rough. We were getting sprayed with some sea water on our deck, deck 7..which is half way up to the top! We watched a movie and hit the sack!

BTW: Disney offers FREE on demand movies. We watched a movie every single day.

We also brought our own alcohol and took a chance at taking it to dinner without the bottle. They were selling wine in the main lobby before dinner so we just walked down with our wine glasses full and walked into dinner and no one ever said anything. We never paid a cork fee either! Each day we would have new glasses delivered to the room.

Here are the pics from this day:

Some gorgeous pictures! You both looked so smart in your formal wear Laughing out loud I look at the pictures and think, damn maybe we should do another cruise, and then you talk about the rough seas and I remember it so well! We only had 1 bad day of it and boy I felt so sick. I wonder if I took anti sickness pills the whole time whether I might be able to do it? It just looks so darn good

You guys look great! Who doesn't love a man in his military dress?!!

Was the adult pool crowded or were you able to easily find chairs to relax?

The adult pool was never crowded at all, BUT if you wanted awesome chairs in the sun...you should arrive early. There were plenty of chairs in the shade. The adult pool had awesome chairs too. They all had nice padding and a towel pillow thing!

Day 2, May 13th

Today we were in Grand Cayman. We would be dropping the anchor around 10:00AM and take a tender boat to the island. Grand Cayman is beautiful! We slept in until 9:00AM and had a quick breakfast. We gathered our stuff and headed to Deck 4 to meet for our excursion. Today's excursion was swimming with stingrays at stingray city. We got off the boat and took a small bus to a smaller dock. We got on a huge catamaran and there were about 20 people total. Smaller groups are always better! This excursion was AWESOME! The stingrays are such gentle sweet creatures! We had a great time. The boat left at 4:30PM so after the excursion we had zero time for anything but leaving.

Here are the pics!

After boarding the boat, we showered and got ready for dinner. Tonight's dinner was in Animator's Palate! This was my favorite place to dine!

Here is our group at dinner! It was nice having friends on the ship! Dinner was so much more fun!

Crush made a visit to our table on the big screen and talked with us! It was so cool! (It's just like turtle talk with Crush if you've been to EPCOT) He came up and was like, "Wow I see a dude rocking the same color shell as me!" He was talking with my hubby and asked where we were from! Then he was like, "Wow, who are those other dudes!? They are rocking the same haircut as me!" (They're bald) hahah It was sooooo funny! Of course I didn't get that on camera!!!

Here is what I did get though: VIDEO

Afterwards we went to the show. The shows were really great. They were broadway caliber shows. You aren't allowed to take film or photos so I don't have anything from the evening stuff. After the show, we usually headed for the room and watched movies!
