Gorgeous pic! It has rained every day, all summer in Georgia. I have never seen anything like this here, and I am a lifelong Georgian!

But my water bills are really low...no need to water the grass. More $$ for Disney. mickey

Okay, folks, help me write this script. Here's the opener:

"Honey, I'm leaving tomorrow morning for a long weekend at Disney World. Here's a list of all the stuff you need to do for the cats while I'm gone. See you Tuesday."

I reallyreallyreally wanna do this....

So how's it going Hazegry? What amazingly awesome things are you doing today?

So when are you leaving cc? I say go for it. Promise your DH you will bring him home some great Disney snacks, the kind that won't melt.

I'm with DisneyDoc. I only wish I could do that.....of course I am under 70 days so I guess I can wait.

We're less than four months away, so I think I can wait also.

But come February, I might be rehearsing that speech for real.

Hi all. It was totally spontaneous. We got off the plane saying "I want to go to Disney World" , "Me,too" things like that. Then there was the devilish grins and the can we do it scene. With a quick call to WDW Reservations we were on the ME about the same time our plane was taking off. Disney taking our money was the easy part. The biggest hurdle we had was no preplanning and NO LUGGAGE, no toothpaste, no clothes, nothing. We had the clothes on our backs, J's camera and my purse with credit cards awesome

I will share a little more here. I am going to share my list of 1st's with you guys ,this trip was full of 1st's for me, on another thread, but not tonight because we check out tomorrow and I am tired. I will post soon.

Ooooo, cannot wait to read this! I tell you, living in GA, a 7 plus hour drive away, I look at that highway LOTS of times and think for a minute...I could I drive South....at the end of that road is WDW.....I could be there by ****......I have a few free nights saved in a Marriott......I could be on Mainstreet by parade time....dinner at Columbia Harbour....then some real life commitment wakes me up.

What lens are you using? Do you mind sharing your camera settings?

Awesome photos!

Hi Eeyore my two most used lenses are the Tokina 11-16mm and the Nikkor 70-300mm VRII and I use a Nikon D7000.
The shot of the Castle is HDR which means I blended 2 or more images in HDR software. The way HDR works is you take the same framed shot at different exposures this allows you to get all the details in the shot. With HDR you can make images look surreal or just reduce the noise and bring out some highlights like I did with the castle. Normally for my HDR work I set up the tripod and use a promote computer that plugs into the camera and tells the camera how many shots I want and what exposure levels. I normally use 7 images at .7ev spacing, dont fret though all the HDR work I did this time was done with the ev spacing available on the camera and for the castle I only used 2 images. I use Photomatix for my HDR processing and its only 50 bucks for the program. Now if you want to do HDR and your camera doesnt do bracketing you can take your shots manually and import them into photomatix it will adjust the images and crop them to clean up the edges.

For the image of the artists desk I totaly ignored the cameras opinion of what the proper exposure should be, if I had followed the cameras suggestion everything would have been exposed and the focus wouldnt have been on the gloves and glasses on the desk. I kept stepping the exposure down until I had the image I wanted then I used an adjustment brush to highlight Mickey. I could tell you exactly the settings on the camera but unless the lighting is exactly the same and your using my camera you wont get the same image so dont fret about the settings to much. (If you still want them I will be happy to give them to you).

The best thing you can do is put your camera on manual settings and play with it to understand how light affects your cameras sensor. For instance when taking a portrait shot (something I dont get to do with Angles because she heads for the hills when I point mine at her waiting ) what you normally do is set the exposure dark then use a flash to expose your subject. I wouldnt do this in Disney however for a portrait shot what I would do is open the lens up to blur the background just enough to make out what it was but reduce its impact on the image. This is an example of using a flash

my biggest mistake with this is my camera was to high so you cant see her eyes but you notice how the subject pops off the background you can get the same effect by blurring the background.

I hope this gives you some ideas if you have more questions ask away. Oh and if I dont answer Angels killed me for posting her pic laugh
