Good morning, cdub!

Yes, Texas is pretty far from Canada. I have never been to Niagara Falls.

I have been to Texas once, a two-week IRS project in Austin August 20-31, 2007. Had a great time!

Been to Canada in 1970, 1971, 1974, 1975, 1976, 1984, 1989, 2000, 2004, 2006, and 2007. I go fairly often these days; this year I plan to go to Nelson, BC (the other side of British Columbia from Vancouver) for a family reunion the week of my birthday (August 10). Vancouver is one of the most beautiful cities on earth (being right on the water), but its weather is cool. For Vancouverites, 85°F (29.5°C) is hot. High temperatures rarely top 80°F (26.8°C) in midsummer and overnight temperatures are in the low 50s°F (10-13°C). Bring rain gear--the northern part of the city is in rainforest and gets about 12 feet (over 3.5 meters) of rain a year--you may need to do things in the rain.

In this damp climate, you're in luck if you like coffee: there are plenty of Starbucks stores, and Tim Horton's is Canada's idea of an upscale Dunkin' Donuts. That's not necessarily bad whether or not you like Dunkin' Donuts.
