Gus looks really unamused with his accommodations.

We're going back next month for a few nights as a resort-only visit/romantic get-away. I'm using the excuse of marking our 5 year anniversary of getting married as a reason to celebrate! I think we might plan on hitting up the AMC in Disney Springs to see Incredibles 2. And maybe imbibe in a few tropical drinks. And learn to hula. Hahaha. Good luck getting that visual out of your heads rolling

Now all you have to do is learn to play the ukulele and that would be a picture worth a thousand words!

Glad you had a great time! I love BLT too. Might sound weird but I love the smell when you walk into the lobby laugh

Of note: just as Patrick came on to prep us for Soarin the little boy in the row next to us threw up...

Have you ever been in que where someone threw up near by? I have....

We had a woman in the row in front of us on Pirates of the Caribbean throw up into her friend's souvenir bag. She did it probably 2 minutes into the ride so we had the faint smell of vomit until we got off. Lovely. At least her friend saw what was happening and was considerate enough to get a bag in front of her. Hope she didn't have anything important in her bag! laugh

We're staying at BLT in October in a 2 bedroom so I loved hearing your review of the resort! And I can't believe this was your first time on CoP eek It's outdated but I've been going on it since my first trip as a kiddo so it has a special place in my heart. congrats on your anniversary! Where are you guys staying?!

Hi Jennifer! Don't get me wrong - it's really a matter of what your pet is used to and what you are comfortable with. I still hold Best Friends in high regards, I just don't care for the kennel style rooms for our 2, which was all I could get. They are used to fully enclosed (with glass doors) and fairly quiet rooms. Last time we boarded them there they had the Vacation Villa, which is better for them and me.

I had asked for pics or a layout of the area but they responded with this:

Unfortunately we cannot provide any pictures of our indoor or indoor/outdoor rooms as that area is considered backstage of Disney, in which photos are not allowed. Indoor/outdoor is a 4x12 space. Inside that space is a 4x4 indoor area with a 4x8 outside, cement enclosed patio area. The indoor/outdoor has a kennel style front, but walls and floors on both sides so it will still be private for them.

In these ones they only take them for outdoor breaks once (versus 3 in the upgraded suites) and expect they will use the outdoor patio area to do their business. And they shut the access to the patio area right before 9 for the evening because of fireworks. We stopped by several times a day to take them for walks and made a final visit around 10 pm so they weren't holding it so long over night. We know our dogs tend to not do everything in strange places so we wanted to make sure they went.

We bought an extra walk on Friday evening when we knew it might be a little!longer until we could get over. We also don't let our dogs play in playgroups so they don't have that activity to wear them out during the day.

Oh, and they would not allow us to leave the blanket or bed we brought from home. That was kind a the tipper for me. They always have been able to have their own bed and blankets, but we were told with the indoor/outdoor rooms that was not permitted; only with the upgraded rooms. I know they had a bed of some sort but they didn't describe it well and would not let me back to see the room area. I just like them to have something familiar.

We have a Vacation Villa booked for July and are more comfortable with that set up for Gus and Dora.

Hope that helps!

Yes it does, thank you!!! I've poured over the website. My hubby thinks I am crazy when I said there was 2 room villas. Hey, if we are staying DVC, the dog has to have it nice too!!!

Between not allowing you to see the kennel space at all, and not letting them have their own bed and blankie. Nope. That's just uncool.

Yeah that seems really shady to me. I understand not letting you back, but no pictures either? That seems off.
