Disney Magic Kingdom * Character Meet * Peter Pan:

I'm proud to say I know Peter Pan. No, really. I KNOW Peter Pan! He grew up in my town and when he was finishing high school, he came and did a ride along with me for his government class. He wanted to go to college for acting and there was something about him, I thought this kids gonna hit it big some day. He eventually found his way to Disney and has gone from the part time Pan to the full time. I have kept up with him via FB but I wasn't sure he would recognize me at the park. No worries, while never breaking character, he let me know he remembered me and while I won't go into the whole conversation - it was awesome. While we were talking a group walked by and yelled "We want your phone number!" he replied "whats a phone?" and they said "we want your number!" and he said "seven!" "is that it? yes! I win! I win!". Its easy to see why he is a favorite character meet at MK. I am anxious to see where his career eventually takes him when he leaves Neverland.

What a cool story!!

Awesome report. Thanks for the tip about Fulton's lunch menu. It's now solidly on my must try list! Actually, all of your food looks spectacular. Must be the photographer. awesome

OhMyGosh Indy is so much fun! Though I had a really hard time hearing the casting director's instructions with all of the commotion. I definitely thought I was going to end up getting kicked by a ninja!

I just showed this to Katie, she's is a HUGE Pan fan and plays in the "Pandom." She said that he's actually her favorite Disney Pan and the one that she's most hoping to meet when we're there. How cool that you know him!

Whew, just caught up after being gone all week! Loving everything about this. I would be the lady crying with Belle. I cried on the boat when she was reading to Ab.

I just read your whole trip report, since I need to catch up on other people's reports in between writing my own. Sounds like a wonderful honeymoon.

Sounds like your HM evacuation was a MUCH bigger deal than our Winnie the Pooh evacuation. On Pooh, there was no rush, CMs walked by reminding us to stay seated and saying they'd be back soon, then they returned with a line of people and a stepstool to get us out. And when we left, people were still lined up in the boarding area. It's good to know that they can really hustle when there's something serious going on.

I love fish tacos and sangria! Yum!

I was also interested to see your photo of the DHS sorcerer's hat coming down compared to my own, taken just a few days after yours. They're actually making pretty quick work of it.

Ok so I was waiting to start in on this until I had time to make it all the way through...and now I have too much to say! Congratulations on your marriage and it sounds like it was a fabulous honeymoon! I loved the whole report, the format was so easy to read and I like how detailed you were and how you included all the prices for reference.

Congrats on getting your room request! We haven't gotten a single room request that we've made yet at Disney so it's good to hear it's still worth trying!

LOVE LOVE LOVE the Villains bouquet! Perfection!

Oh my gosh the story about the lady meeting Belle had me in tears. How incredibly sweet and sad!

I loved all of the pictures, especially all of the meet and greets! It seems like you got a lot in on this trip! Did you find you had pretty short waits with the characters?

The Haunted Mansion evacuation sounds so exciting! Thank goodness nothing to detrimental happened!

The Fulton's lunch prices look surprisingly reasonable for Disney standards! And I love a good fish taco! May have to add that too my list for the future. In fact, I went through your report with my Disney spreadsheet open, making note of several things to try next trip. biggrin awesome

Thank you Allie! We found we waited between 10-30 minutes for characters .. The lines seemed to move fast.
The longest we waited was 30 minutes for Cindy's step-sisters/mom. And we were 5th in line!
There were 2 sets of adults ahead of us which took forever. One brought some type of book and they looked
thru it ( appeared to have stickers or cards in it) for 10 minutes. Another man was flirting with them and used
3 different types of cameras to take photos. The family in front of me was very angry at the amount of time
the adults were taking as this was only scheduled for a 30 minute meet & then the characters were done for the day.
He said something to the CM who told him they were not allowed to "move people along" and basically one person
could take the whole 30 minutes and nothing could be done about it. The man became so agitated he pulled his
family out of line and left.

Disney Magic Kingdom * Peter Pan's Flight * New Queue:

Peter Pan New Queue continued:

The new queue for Peter Pan's Flight doesn't have much land to work with so I understand they couldn't be too creative in the flow of the queue area itself. It didn't do much for us as far as making the 1.5 hour line feel any faster or entertain us until the very end.

The first part are tight, long hallways which feature very pretty art of Peter Pan and Friends (and enemies). Eventually you end up starting to see family pictures on the wall and Nana, so you know you are getting closer to the bedroom. When you enter the bedroom area it is a larger square room which the line still snakes through. There is a large wall featuring a "window" peering out at Big Ben at night. The two beds are set up on opposite sides of the room.

Tinkerbell magically appears via a stream of pixie dust and she moves the model ship, tries to open the lock on the trunk, a pirate skull appears on the flag over the bed and lights turn on and off. This part is very cute ! Between the beds are shadows of bells hanging from above. As you try to hit these shadows with your hands, you can make them ring. Fascinating technology.

You move into another tight hallway which is near the loading area. Tinkerbell dust magically falls from the ceiling at times (all by lighting not solid pixie dust) in one spot.

And that...is it.. The bedroom scene is the most entertaining IMHO, but the rest of the queue is stagnant for me.

Peter Pan New Queue continued:

There was a cute little girl way ahead of us in line, she was probably about six years old, wearing her finest princess dress. She would get so excited when Tinkerbell would start making her pixie dust trail. She would beg Tinkerbell not to go... "Please Tinkerbell Please don't go away again! Don't you know I love you???!!!"

Very Sweet! Certainly the moments that parents must cherish when at Disney.

Aw I just love the new Peter Pan's Flight queue! But it's FP+ all the way for me on that attraction so I'll probably never get to check it out...

Can't believe I'm just getting around to reading this TR now! Your Disneymoon looks epic, and it really reminds me of how magical ours was. I was also very emotional when I met Belle at Epcot, so I really loved and related to the story about the lady with Belle. Looks like you had a truly magical time. x
