I'm single, with no kids (unless you count my cat, but I can't take her into the parks), and I LOVE meeting the characters! Matter of fact, the first time mein sister and I went to Disney World without our parents (she was 25, and I was 24 at the time), she wanted a picture of her with Mickey and Minnie. I don't remember the reason why we never wanted to do it as kids. Either lack of interest, or we wanted to spend more time on the rides. One of my favorite Disney moments was in 2009 during the Christmas party (I forgot what it was called!) was getting to meet Scrooge McDuck. We've never done a character meal, though. I don't know if mein sister will go for it, and I also don't know if they'd accept a reservation for one.

They do. I've done a few solo character meals.

It's your vacation...plan the activities you want. Our 23-year DD, her boyfriend, my DH, and I had breakfast at Crystal Palace with Pooh and Friends...loved it. About 3 years ago, only my DH and I went to the world and I got my photo taken with Maleficent...it was the highlight of that visit...before that I had my photo taken with Woody & Jessie, then Buzz Lightyear. Enjoy your trip!!!

I like The Crystal Palace. The characters come round and it is fun. I've actually had them give me LOTS of attention and hang out for pics, even though we don't have any kids. Of course it is the Pooh character there- besides Mickey and Goofy, they are my favs!

But I don't seek the characters out for pics - but if the opportunity presents itself and there are no mobs of shorties. . .

I just counted my interactions...Lol. We did 34 in 6 days. Only two of those did we wait more than 20 minutes (Toy Story and the Fairies). And probably at least half of those were walk up or less than 5 minutes. Of course we caught 6 princesses at dinners and if you go to the Fantasyland Big-Top, the big four were in there (Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy) and we saw all four of them within 30 minutes.
