The quick, unexpected Flower & Garden girlie trip report!!!!

Tuesday 3rd May " Day 8

Out last full day in the world how did that happen?! I just got here! There was only one place I could spend my last day and that was Magic Kingdom. We set off about 11am and we headed straight to our Splash FP however on our way up we walked past Skipper Canteen now I have gone on and on and on about wanting to dine here and mam wasn't that keen on the idea and I think it was because as you may have realised I'm a picky eater! So I think she was thinking I wouldn't like anything but I really wanted to try here! We had a look at the menu and there was 2 dishes that weren't too out there and I was bound to like one of them so a quick look on the app and we secured a time that suited us great I love the fact you can just get a reservation on the day but on the same hand usually I'm a planner and that would just kill me having to wait until the day to book my reservation also I wouldn't worry about getting a time I could have literally had anytime I wanted!

So anyway back to walking up to Splash Mountain and I noticed when I went to check our FP time I had this random FP with no information I quickly realised that because we had a FP for Fantasmic! the night before and it had been cancelled it was obviously given back to us because it wasn't that we didn't use it as more than couldn't use it bonus! We rode Splash Mountain and it was fab as usual!

We came off and Big Thunder Mountain had a pretty high wait so we decided to use the extra FP for to ride this which was great on our way down there was a photopass photographer and seen as we had done really bad with getting photos so I asked him if we could have some magic shots because it was our last day and we didn't have many! He was great and did us loads! Some better than others!

We walked back down for our skipper Canteen reservation I was super excited! We parked the ECV and got took straight through the place wasn't even half full which I think is really sad it's a beautiful place! I love the fact the servers stay in character throughout your meal!

We got convinced into having S.E.A. Shu Mai which I have to say I'm pleased we did it was a little spicy for me but it was a nice little something to try I'm not sure I would have it again but I can say I've tried it! Mam enjoyed these!

For our mains mam had tastes like chicken, because it is and I had the Char Siu Pork both were gorgeous I enjoyed mams chicken but rice was a bit spicy and she likes my pork but isn't a fan of char siu so I think we picked the right meals for the person!

Also I have to mention the details in here are great I love it and the toilets are so posh! I really enjoyed this meal and I said I would be happy to go back but maybe in a few years but I may have to start a campaign for an ADR next year......... overall whether we go back sooner or later I think everybody should give it a go even if you are a picky eater I think it will pleasantly surprise you and I can't tell you how happy I am that we tried it!

We had FP for 7 Dwarfs Mine Train next so we cut through the castle and had our farewell ride I love this so much!

Once we came off we checked for 4th FP but nothing grabbed us really so we headed down to storybook circus and had a look in big top souvenirs (I may or may not have made some purchases ) and then we walked down the walkway to tommorowland its so quiet you can really take everything in! We had a ride on the TTA I can't believe this was our first and only ride this trip! Mam managed to take a few photos she is rather proud of!

We headed down Main Street and did a little shopping (with LARGE price tags cough Pandora cough!) but we headed out before the parade rush! We said goodbye but it wouldn't be so long til we were back and once back in the resort we did a little packing and then headed to EPCOT for our final night (sob!) we had a few items left on our list of things to try from flower and garden and a few things I wanted again and I wasn't leaving until I had them!

First stop was the cider house for a cider and beer flight which was very delicious me and mam often find that she likes the ones I don't and vice versa so it works well!

I finally got pictures of the topiaries in France everytime I had been it was so busy!

We stopped at the smokehouse for another beer flight and the warm chocolate cake now the flight was delicious but that booth was owned by that cake! It was so delicious! I was gutted it was our last night and I couldn't come back for more tomorrow!

We fully intended on walking to China for more strawberries from Lotus house but we stumbled upon a disabled viewing area in between Germany and Italy (I say Germany because she was beside the snow white topiaries but she felt closer to Italy so we agreed to disagree!) and I said I would walk to China to get the strawberries and come back so I set off and as I arrived at the booth I noticed 2 familiar faces it was Robyn & Sy! We had a little chat then I got in the line to get my strawberries and a kung fu punch (it was my last night!) and Robyn & Sy walked back to find mam and watch the fireworks with us, I think me and Robyn may have talked through much of the fireworks oops! We stayed a little while longer and snapped a quick picture before we parted ways Robyn & Sy were great to talk to and I'm really pleased we got a chance to meet up! Hope our plans cross paths in the future!

This was such a perfect end to a fantastic trip and even though we still had the next morning this was our last park day we headed back got some pasta and fell asleep dreading our departure day

Wednesday 4th May " Day 9

Our last day in the bubble we were really sad, we decided to head to Disney springs before finishing the packing so reluctantly we got dressed and took the bus down it was a really miserable dull day it was like being back in England and it suited our mood perfectly! We had a quick look in once upon a toy but decided we best go for our breakfast before they stopped serving it seen as it was around 10.30 so we went to Earl of Sandwich we ordered bacon, egg and cheddar sandwiches and they looked beautiful but sadly that was where the goodness ended, the buns were really stale and there wasn't very much flavour at all, maybe we hit at the wrong time or something and it absolutely would not put me off going back but I won't be in a hurry to return and if we ever did breakfast again I would try an omelette as they looked beautiful!

We headed into the world of Disney store as I wanted a keychain for a present that I hadn't seen anywhere else, mam started to struggle with walking as she didn't bring the ECV with her so she went and found herself a seat while I took myself on a photography mission to see all the new goings on! I did well and managed to find most places but the town centre wasn't open when I was there so could only see that in the distance! I walked all the way to old planet Hollywood but somehow missed the Coca Cola building?! It also took me 2 walk rounds to find D Luxe Burger so in other words don't ask me for directions in Disney Springs! I can't wait to visit in September to see everything all open!

I went to find mam and we headed to the bus stop it was 11.30 loads of time.........until we didn't get back to the resort until 12.15 crap we still had all the packing to do! You have never seen 2 people frantically packing cases ready for a 1pm check out I called for bell services and asked if they could come for the bags as close to 1pm as possible and the next thing I heard was "I'll send him straight round" nooooooooo not yet! So I got it cleared up so we had a little more time to spare! As it turned out we were packed in plenty time for bell services coming and he kindly took them to storage for us so we could do a final check round the room and say goodbye!

We made our way over to the entrance and got a call from Walker to say they would be here to collect ECV aroud 1.20 which was perfect timing for us I went to get us drinks and by the time I came back the man was there collecting the ECV great!

We went to riverside mill and ordered 3 Magic cookie bars (2 weren't even mine cough cough danijrod!) I then went and got our food I had pasta (of course) and mam had fish basket both were beautiful for our final meals

We found a seat in river roost and I went to collect our big cases we like to be sorted early but as I wheeled the big case bag it felt weird like the wheels weren't working or something when I got it back and had a look the zip had burst! Crap! Luckily I had obviously just missed a section out as it re zipped fine! As we were sitting we decided there was a little room left in a bag would be a shame not to fill it right?! So bags all filled to capacity I nipped to concierge to pick up a couple of resort maps for people I know visiting in the next few months and as I walked through I saw Rapunzel and Flynn! Totally unexpected! And they were meeting guests! The cutest thing I saw was they were dancing around with a little girl and I just thought those memories will last an absolute lifetime! As I was in the line I took a sneaky picture thinking that would be all I would get because our bus was due! But once I picked up my maps there was one girl waiting and that was it....be rude not to get my picture took so sent mam a quick text who was oblivious to all this going on in the reception saying I was waiting to meet Rapunzel and Flynn! I dread to think what she thought when she saw that message! As I was waiting I noticed Aladdin had appeared and started meeting too! I explained to Rapunzel & Flynn that I was tight on time because I was headed back to my kingdom they understood perfectly! Aladdin on the other hand didn't understand the "my bus will be coming any minute now I'll be really quick!" but he was lovely and this whole experience actually made my day!!! Anyone who has me on facebook would have been well aware!

On cloud nine I skipped back to mam got the bags and went to stand outside to wait for the tragical express, before long it came round the corner and we all got on I hate that part

we saw this beautiful Southern Belle on our way out too!

We stopped at French Quarter and Old Key West before we got on the road to the airport they only drop off at 1 terminal now but its typical ours is the other one! We got checked in no problems and had a look in the earport and I found a beautiful bag to replace my broken Alice one then we decided to just go through security there was some huge lines but then others with nobody at them so we actually got through really quick! Security was no problems at all and we got on the monorail great that was easy.......until we realised we were on the monorail to gates 100-129! We needed to be at gate 84! So we had to go back to get on the right monorail dafties!!

We had a look in duty free and got the biggest starbucks drink they do and just sat and reflected on the trip, before long we headed down to gate and they started boarding however they did silent boarding which we have never experienced before and they just boarded everyone at the same time which is strange usually with it being such a large plane its usually first class and premium economy then boarded by row from back forwards so because there was no structure it was like a free for all! Typical brits! We just sat and waited for a while they wouldn't go without us! Once we got sat in our seats I started to feel a bit funny not poorly just not right and I have suffered from sinus pain in the past and take decongestants before and during flights to stop this however they didn't work as soon as we set off I got searing pains in my head and can't open or shut my eyes or concentrate on anything and I had to wait 4 hours until I could take another tablet it wasn't very nice but thankfully once the next tablets got in my system it helped massively and I did get a little rest.

Food did come by during this time I couldn't even face looking at food I can't even remember what there was I know mam really liked one and really didn't like the other! I watched how to be single which was really good and I attempted to watch Star Wars again I slept through most which was good because I needed rest but bad because I wanted to see it! I did catch that bad thing though

The rest of the journey was pretty uneventful if I remember right we landed way ahead of schedule (why can't this happen when I'm going not when I come back!) I waited at the carousel holding my breath hoping that the contents of my case wasn't coming round on the belt thankfully the case made the journey! We headed out to the car park picked up my Donald! The weather was absolutely gorgeous! Better than the weather we left in Florida! We set off and we were doing really well until I was driving down a road that said I was heading for Manchester city centre.......not where we wanted to go! We actually found our way out pretty easy thanks to google maps! As much as I enjoyed our little adventure I wanted coffee! So we found the nearest service station and got my caffeine fix! We made it back in really good time even with our detour! But before long it was back to reality and planning began for September!

Overall this was an absolutely amazing trip it developed out of nowhere and even though I do love our trips with my auntie and uncle it was nice to have some mother and daughter time! We experienced a lot of stuff that we never have before and I have memories that I will add to my ever growing folder of amazing Disney experiences once this one was booked we said this would be a one off we would never ever do 2 trips to Florida in the same year ever again however we are pricing up for 2 trips next year eak!!! Those frequent flyer miles need spending!!!
