I think the boats from the DTD to POR very load. At least the motor is load. That being said sometimes the boat captains will be quiet and let you enjoy the music and some will talk the entire time.Now the walk between Riverside and French quarter is very nice or just walking around riverside was really nice. We walked around Riverside about dusk time while ppl were still in the parks. It was quiet with the "stately mansions" and gazebos in the background it made for a nice walk. Nice walk if you are in the area but not worth making a trip across the "world" to do. I am sure every resort has its one nice walking paths.
