Ok, just so everyone understands I am not a cheap ass....We did not tip the ME driver of the bus we were on because we did not have any luggage on the bus. We checked all of our bags so we walked on and walked off without anything. Sorry, but he did not handle my luggage so I don't think he deserved any money. If we were in the room when luggage arrived, I would've tipped them, but we were at the park already.
I understand where you are coming from. I'm the same way. I always have the ME tags on my luggage so I don't have to worry about picking it up at baggage claim. I keep my carry on bag with me so the bus driver is not handling my luggage. If I had my suitcase with me, I would tip the driver like I do for the shuttle driver where I park at the airport here in CT.
I'm usually not in my room when my suitcase arrives. If I were I would tip at that time.

I took one trip where the DME driver refused to handle my electronics bag. I lugged it up onto the bus and had to hold it on my lap because the buss was full and it wouldn't fit in the overhead. Man I was angry about that. He absolutely didn;t get a tip.
The only time we haven't tipped the ME driver was when he asked (begged! demanded!) to be tipped the entire trip. DH started counting how many times he mentioned we should tip - 15!!! No tip for you - that was just tacky and annoying.

Time marches on. Eventually you realize it's doing it across your face.

I agree. We have had trips where we tipped because we had bags under the bus. We didn't tip the one driver that made it totally clear that he worked for Mears and not Disney, so he works for tips and didn't get paid as much as a Disney employee. Which I thought was very tacky in so many ways, so I went directly to the ME counter and talked to the Guest Service Manager right then and there. I figured if I waited I might forget. We tipped this last trip and we didn't even have a bag under the bus. The driver was funny and informative, he made the trip back to the airport just a little less painful.
