My sons second visit he was 2... My sons favorite character is Handy Manny. We finally found him in Hollywood studios and we were next in line to meet him and then he had to "go check on Pat" when he came back he saw me and my son over at a merch stand shopping and came up and grabbed my sons hand and walked him around for about 2-3 minutes pointing things out even though there was a line waiting for him. My son was beyond happy the rest of the day!!!

I LOVE Disney Magical Moments......my fave one of late happened in early July on my 49th B'day! My plan was to ride my 3 fave roller coasters twice (once with Hubs and once with my son). We rode Expedition Everest, Rock'n Roller coaster, Big Thunder, Space Mountain and Splash Mountain. The plan was to finish @MK with Dinner at the Plaza and then watch my very fave MM&Y and Wishes. By this time, I was tired, starving and worried we wouldn't get finished with dinner in time for the shows.....did I mention starving? We were sitting outside the Plaza for what seemed forever (With over a dozen empty tables). My "magic" meter was at rock bottom. I asked one of the CM at the door to the Plaza if he could tell me when we would be seated. He just politely said as soon as possible. Another CM must have overheard the conversation and my frustration. He came, took my "non-beeping yet" beeper and whisked us inside. He seated us at the best table (perfect viewing of the castle) showered us with Pixie Dust (aka Mickey confetti) and even removed the curtains from the window so I could see. Our food arrived in record time and our server was also a delight and brought me a light up tinkerbell drink and a B'day cupcake! I felt very special and it meant the world to me! We even made it outside in time to watch the shows! Smile A perfect ending to a Magical Day!

There have been SOOO many magical moments thanks to cast members over the years that it's hard to pick just one, but this one sticks in my memory.
We were at HS chatting with a character handler. The character had not made his/her appearance and, as an avid pin trader, I was looking to trade. She chatted with us for a while as I was trading, but must have noticed my friend's look of disappointment. The cast member asked if she was looking for a particular pin. My friend replied, "Anything Dopey". She is a total Dopey nut!
The cast member didn't have any Dopey pins, but asked why my friend wasn't wearing her Dopey lanyard. We asked her where we could purchase such a lanyard because we had never seen them anywhere on grounds. She said Walgreens. We were bummed out because we were staying on property and didn't have a car.
The cast member asked us to wait a minute and she would get us the phone number for the Walgreens store. She came out shortly, not with the phone number, but with a brand new Dopey lanyard that she had purchased the day before and GAVE it to my friend. She would take no money for it, either.
Let me tell you, there were 2 seniors at HS that day first in tears and then wearing great big grins the rest of the day!

Sometimes I think we should write a book and have all of these stories in it. Hint Hint

Stopped at Epcot International Gateway Guest Relations upon arrival on 11-2, to pick up the annual passes we purchased in June, prior to the price increase. CM asked if I had heard about the discount on the premium APs currently in effect(actually cheaper than a regular AP). Told him I was aware, since he mentioned it, but that I had read it only applied to new purchases. "Let me see what I can do" he replied. A couple minutes later we rcvd two Premium APs and a $50 gift card for the difference in price.

Some Disney Magic within an hour of arriving at our resort!!

muchlove Love this thread! My most magical experience didn't even happen to me. We were in Epcot on the first Saturday of the F&WF so it was PACKED. We were near The American Adventure when a group of sailors walked by. A few of the cast members started clapping for them as they walked by and everyone joined in clapping and hooting and hollering for them! The smiles on their faces just lit the place up! And you could hear the ovation following them like a wave as they walked around the lagoon! I felt so blessed to be a part of such a huge outpouring of love and support for our military! muchlove

I am still a little young, only 24 as of 2013, but I still feel like I should share.

My 24th birthday was August 25, 2013, but ever since I moved to Alabama, January '13, to be with my boyfriend, he came home from the USMC, it had been over 7 years since I'd been to Disney. My best friend called me one day and asked if I would be coming back to Florida to visit, and I mentioned that I wanted to see my family for my birthday, since my boyfriend was going to be working for the whole weekend. So, I packed up my car and drove home for a few days, August 28-31, and my best friend surprised me when I arrived in our hometown. She called and told me to bring my stuff to her house, she was taking me to Disney the next morning, August 29. We had a Disney soundtrack to pump us up, and decked ourselves out in Disney gear. When we arrived at the entrance, a small group of cast members greeted us and we scanned our tickets, they noticed I was wearing my "I'm Celebrating" birthday pin and they circled me and sang an a capella birthday song. I blushed and felt honored, I wasn't a 5 year old princess at heart, so I was surprised it happened. But the magic didn't stop there, every cast member I came across, greeted me and wished me a magical day. As we entered Fantasyland, my first time since the new Fantasyland opened, (I'm obsessed with Beauty & the Beast), we walked through the new circus/Dumbo area and checked out the new sights. Just before we left the circus, a man, named Pete, ran up to me and asked "Has he called you yet?", I was confused and startled, "No, I don't know what you're talking about", I said. "HE HASN'T CALLED YOU YET?!", Pete asked, he took my hand, and ran me into the Big Top gift shop and brought me to the cashier, he picked up a telephone and handed it to me, he told me to dial a number and listen. In a few seconds, Goofy was on the other line, singing to me and wishing me a magical day, I actually started crying, no one had ever been so sweet to me like that. But he wasn't done yet, he took my hand again and walked me into the center of the tent, he yelled "Excuse me, can I have everyone's attention, please? Today is Jen's 24th birthday and she would love it if we sang to her! Please join me in wishing her a magical day, on the count of 3! 1...2...3...!" And everyone, even strangers from outside the tent, began singing to me and wishing me a happy birthday, I was completely stunned and surprised, it was full of magic. He took my hand, and brought me to the dessert counter for one more surprise, he handed me and my best friend, a delicious chocolate and M&M covered marshmallow treat. He gave me a big hug and wished me a wonderful day! I felt amazing, like a real Disney princess, and for 24 years, I had never truly felt the magic until that day. The cast members at Disney World are the most magical and influential people, I've ever met. I just wish I could apply there and make someone's dreams come true, like they did mine.
