The only one we have ever really seen was Illuminations and I didn't really care for it. We have seen Wishes but like hubby said once we were over in Fantasyland and the other time it was from outside of the Magic Kingdom so we didn't get the full effect. Every year we say we are going to see all the fireworks shows...Maybe this year we will actually get it accomplished.
If you don't mind, I'd like to ask you a bit more on this.
Have you seen it right where it "should be seen"? Despite what they said that it can be viewed all around the lagoon, the best place to see it is on the pavilion right at the entrance to World Showcase coming from Future World. This is the ONLY place where you can see it in its full symmetry (the other place, which would be on the opposite side of the lagoon, is blocked off by the show pavilion in front from the America pavilion).
I'm asking you this because I had the same, initial reaction the first time I saw Illuminations. It was from a poor angle, and we didn't have that good of a view. I didn't care that much for it. It was only the 2nd time that I view it from where I mentioned (and the same location where I did my video), that I finally saw it in its full glory. I've also seen it up close as being one of those people who got to sit right by the front railings at this pavilion and felt as if my eye brows would get cinched by the heat.
One could also say the same thing about Wishes. While it can be enjoyed from many different places, there is only a limited range of places where (i) you can see it in its full symmetry and (ii) you get to see the lights, patterns, and actions on the Castle during the show (and not miss Tink). I think everyone should at try to see it at least once (or twice) at these "sweet spot" locations. That way, you get to see it the way it was designed, and then enjoy it later during other times at other places.
