Mountain Mama was our server for one of our WCC breakfasts on our last trip. She's awesome! awesome

Yes, the platter is priced per person "enjoying all they care to". It's a LOT of food, so bring your appetites! Oh, and don't forget that the milkshakes have unlimited refills too! And they have some funny spoofs if you ask for a lot of refills. wink I also quite enjoy what happens if you tell them your straw isn't long enough. wink

Beyond the usual gags, if you tell them you're in WDW celebrating something, they'll sometimes come up with things on the spot. Personal experience on the first night of my honeymoon: A coloring contest cooked up by Deputy Doug. I won. My prize? The indelible image of my newly-minted husband riding a hobby-horse around the restaurant singing/shouting "You are My Sunshine" (or at least the words he knew, which wasn't much). Good stuff! laugh

Hi guys!

I have a confession to make: I made ADR for the Whispering Canyon just because of the Milkshake refills (I am a milkshake person!!)...but I didn't know about all the gags and jokes! laugh

Now I'm wondering if I should tell DF and the gang about that, or just let them enjoy the unexpected fun!

From what I've read it's mostly at breakfast and dinner..However you can let your server know if you don't want all the hallubaloo..Only what I've read..We are going for dinner when we are staying there in October...My DS isn't into the Yee haw side of things..LOL..

If you want to watch all the action and be part of the fun make sure you request to be seated in the main dining room. My mom and I went just over a week ago and we were seated in front of the fireplace towards the back. It was very disappointing. Our waitress was fine, but we couldn't see anything going on and that's a big part of going there. It was my mom's first time and she wasn't overly impressed (the food wasn't all that good that evening either...definitely not as good as the first time I went there).
If I chose to go again (which I probably won't on our next trip) I would ask for the main dining area.

I think I won't let them know... rolling
We're really into gags and jokes, so I believe they'd love it...or most of it, because they don't speak perfect English, and maybe they'll have a hard time to get all the jokes...and this will be the funniest part! At least for me! Lol

Hey all, thanks for this discussion. Whispering Canyon wasn't really on my radar, but I need to book a few more ADR's to make sure we get our money's worth out of our TiW card and after this discussion, I booked an ADR for our arrival day. I'm very excited about it! The menu looks great and we're staying at VWL, so it's super convenient! All of the fun server gags are bonus!!

I don't eat meat, so unfortunately I wouldn't find much food to enjoy at Whispering Canyon, but I must say that the free milkshake refills tempted me too...

You definitely need ADRs for Whispering Canyon. We tried on 2 occasions this trip to get in for dinner and they were completely booked up until 8:30 - much too late for the toddler. sad

I think you'll really like it! If you have to book some more ADRs, have you considered The Wave? It's in the Contemporary, so it's only a short water taxi ride away. It's pretty under the radar, so ADRs are fairly easy to get as well. Smile

I've heard great things about the Quinoa Cakes and Navajo Bread. You just might be able to find something to go along with that bottomless milkshake. awesome
